Absolutely agreed. I had one of these for a few months and it sounded great for a receiver. HDMI works flawlessly, sweet integrated ipod cable, looks great. I actually preferred the sound of this Pioneer to my Onkyo 805.

I did, none of the sites I found listed if it had preouts or not. Pioneer's website didn't have the model and no mention of them either on the specs above.
I would use it as a preamp if I was to buy, just so I could get the new codecs. Too many expenses right now so I think I'll pass. Bad timing. -

You have to click the "Older Models' link
Here ya go.
And it does appear to have preouts (top middle)
From the specs:Audio Pre-Output 7.1

Yes, he did. I was just responding to Jeff's smartass comment. Wasn't finding the info online and asking here was going to be quicker.
Looks like no DTS-MA decoding either so I'm out. PS3 would decode it IIRC over HDMI anyways but I think I'll stick to my decision to keep the HK and get a standalone with analogs when they become cheaper. -
Blowout for the forum 375.00 plus shipping, can't get that around here, on the Gon for more but this will be a 24 hour thing, let me know. Paypal add 3% will get it in the mail on Monday

Damn, ok, you baited me in. Lets do it. If I don't like it vs my HK AVR7200, I'll pass it to a friend of mine. I'll send in PM.

Sold to sami****

Nice grab Sami. It's a really great receiver. Pretty much my top choice without new codecs. Enjoy

Yep, looks decent enough, we will see how it compares to the HK in terms of 2ch performance. I'm using Sherbourn 5/1500 for amplification.
PS3 should be able to pass DTS-MA through the HDMI as LPCM so I shouldn't have the need for internal decoding on the receiver, just the HDMI connection which is missing from my HK. -
