Only looks to be the machine shop area, not the final assembly area, imo. I've only heard good things about his gear.

I've seen FAR UGLIER/ CHEAPER-LOOKING gear for FAR GREATER $$$$.

Now saying that, the dude in the top photo looks like he could go POSTAL/UNI-BOMBER at any moment.

that`s one of the messy-est shops I have ever seen !!

pride in your shop and tools is directly related to pride in craftmanship...

    IMHO of course !

From experience, it's really not bad compared to some of the shops I've worked in. Besides, most of the mess there is aluminum chips. (clean, compared to cast iron and other materials) It's really not that bad.

If it's too clean, it looks like you aren't getting much done.(to a foreman, anyway):D

    Fugly.

All the guy in the first pic is missing is a couple of bolts sticking out of his neck.

I would request the Kismet innards with the old Stratos case.

The Stratos is such a badass amp it is not even funny...

Cases are a funny thing. If I had a pretty case for my Pre it would "sound a lot better to some". Just like if I charged more for my cables they would get higher raves. I feel for Statos. The cases mean a lot to people, but cost is really high to produce a good solid pretty case. This is one of the major obstacles of me selling my pre.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Messy means someone is actually doing work. Sweet gear.

You say that like it's a 'bad' thing. He's obviously been breathing aluminum dust for years.

I agree the cabinet is dorky. I'd lose the dowel corners, maybe just smooth round-overed edges all around, and maybe 3/4" feet. No dowelly protuberance. That looks uber-pretentious.

If they'd only called me first... ;) sigh....
