I'm new to the world of Polk but from what I've learned so far, these SDA-SRS2's look like a very good deal. I could manage the price but not the size.

I have no affiliation to this listing.

These were my absolute pride and joy when I was a bachelor. They still sound great, but we're moving, and portable they aren't (nor do they exactly fit into a subtle and understated decor ).

Lots of good information about these speakers at http://polksda.com/ and http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/products/srs/.

I'll entertain any reasonable offer as long as you'll take care of transportation. A pickup truck or u-haul is recommended, but they may fit into a minivan if all the back seats are removed. They are quite heavy (136 pounds each).

They are in pretty decent shape with some minor wear (the grill-cloth needs to be tacked/glued down on the bottom of each front piece, and there is a dent in the top of one from when it once toppled over). The (blade type) connector cable is included, but the manual is long gone (all the info you need is printed on the back of each speaker, though).

Explain to me the differences between the 1Cs and SRS 2s. I'm guessing better bass and a wider soundstage...anything else.

Wife would kill me, but the guys just asking for someone to take them off his hands.

Ron, I have been out of town on an extended shooting/hunting trip...I have to drive through Los Gatos to get home...you think your wife would kill you...what do you think mine would do if I showed up with another pair....the only place to put them would be my side of the bed :D

Economy is rough and I think mine are in better shape, plus I'd need another couple of RDOs. Bear should get them, he's SDAless.
