Amplifier for CSW100 (in ceiling subwoofer)

I've seen some discussions here about the SWA500 amplifier for the CSW100. Question for you, is that the only option for the subwoofer or are there any other alternatives?
What should I look at when selecting the amplifier. Actually I'll have to delay a bit the purchase of the SWA500 so I'd like to know if I can make it work with another amplifier I may have "hanging around".
Thanks, Bruno

The SWA500 is the RIGHT choice, with the specific SPEX card 'tuned' for the CSW100 subwoofer. That being said, you can also use any high current amplifier that can do 150 watts or more continuous and have a great HT experience - assuming your pre/pro will handle the crossover and gain control, if not, you will need an external controller in addition to an amplifier.
