Borrowed a friends router to enlarge the opening and replace my older and blown SL1000's with the new RDO tweeters. As minor as it is, it was my first foray into word working. I think the mod came out ok. I like the new sound. Definitely less bright and especially noticeable with piano.

I think I'm going to get myself a soldering gun and do the crossover/Sonic Cap upgrade is next. This is fun stuff!

Nice job on the word working and glad you like the new tweeters. :p Make sure you burn them in for at least 100 hours or so. I gave both of mine 150 and I was really surprised how much of a difference it makes. Modifying speakers is really fun and soldering has a pretty easy learning curve. Just practice a few times on something that doesn't matter and you'll be good to go.

How do you recommend burn in? Just lave them playing music for 150 hours at low-med volume?
