HDMI Extender cable

I have an dvi-hdmi cable that I want to run from my computer to my reciever.

First question is: Can my onkyo 605 handle the input from my computer?

Second question: I looked around and found this http://www.svideo.com/hdmimf3.html . I need about 3 more feet to reach the reciever from my computer. Will using an extender like that lose me any quality? (Not counting what i'll lose going from dvi-hdmi in the first place)

    It works fine with my 805. you need another cable for your audio.
    its better to buy a longer cable at Mono price they are very cheap.

    Actually, the 3 foot cable at mono is $16 plus shipping. At this site the shipping is free and it's $12.

    Not sure about the quality though...although I suppose it doesn't matter much since I'm only getting dvi quality from my pc.
