Why not let him return and speak for himself? Or would you rather he be dead?

I think the positive replies speak volumes and the detractors simply follow suit with every other thread. It's like you see one post and watch the next 2-3 roll in like clockwork.

Correct but did you not read Lightman's post or just get into a hatred cycle? I guess we'll just have to be selective in our "prayers" and give a **** from now on. I don't pray for anything but a slow death so don't expect any love from me.

For the record, I don't give a crap. By the time you folks hear about my serious health problems....I would've been dead for months.

I understand **** happens and many times life takes precedent. Myself, had I been in that situation I would have figured a way to square things; between friends and family my obligations would have been fulfilled. Perhaps he has and I'm being an a**.

I'll leave it alone since I wasn't personally involved.

sorry Mark but I believe you are wrong on this one (I really do not expect you to care since its what I think not you). It has nothing to do with any negativity, it has to do with trusting a member who received items from others and then did not pay for them nor return them. That is stealing my friend. That is a crime. As in it is illegal and I do not believe Polk Audio wants criminals doing business here. If I am wrong you will have a chance to explain that to me very soon. As many here know I myself have many stints and grafts, so you can recover fully and take care of all things life has to offer both the good and the bad.

I love the way you slam Polkies for looking out for Polkies. He left saying
don't call or email I will not return messages
. He could have said I will make things right, but he chose to just blow everyone off. I guess you missed that too? The only hatred I see is you against any Polkie with a lot of posts that doesn't think you are a Polk god.
    Rock on Mark

Ben - As far as conversation between you and me, you're a moron and I could care less about anything you do. You're a cancer on this forum. I don't have a God complex you idiot, you have a Moses complex. You're a charity case. I recall a wonderful quote from you..."...I probably help more Polkies than anyone else on this board...". Nice slap in the face to the others that help here as well. You're a newbie and when you put some blood, sweat and tears in this place, I'll be 80 years old by then.

I don't slam Polkies, I speak my mind....much like the rest of you freaks. Sorry that I don't swallow the same pills as you do. There will come a day when you guys get caught up in a bind and I wonder how that shoe will fit.

Chuck shouldn't have taken the route that he did, it was lame but it would be nice to hear the other side instead of setting fire to the wolfpack.

Who's welcoming who with open arms? I'm just asking for some clarification and some rational discussion. You just want to stroke yourself into a frenzy and stand on the soapbox to show everyone.

I really hope Chuck returns to address this sitsuation.
Maybe he was hurting that bad that he could not handle it in a timely fashion. I am not making excuses for anyone and I don't know the players involved. Maybe alittle more compassion would help even though alot of patience has allready been extended. It seems to me he's not a "bad" guy just had/has some rough weeks. This whole thing really sucks but hopefully can be made right somehow, communication is a start and probably a finish too.

Hey Mark If you are going to quote me please include the rest of the statement were I said "it's not because I am better than anyone here I just spend a lot of time here". The only one I see abusing the edit feature now is you. Look at how many posts you edit:rolleyes:
As for Chuck I do wish him the best. I don't agree with how he left. I hope all things are made good. Please explain. If you are going to call me names the one thing I would like to know is how am I a cancer to the forum?
    Thanks again:rolleyes:

Edit: BTW I don't think any of the members that actually help other Polkies including the newbies were offended by my statement.

Not my intention...........I know it gets old hearing you complain about the "wolfpack" mentality. In this case he left a sour taste in people mouth so it's warranted.

There are times when you are correct; the "wolfpack" can be relentless and unwarranted. But like you, I speak my mind. Never my intention to get on a "soap box" anymore than anyone else; and that includes you.

From what I gather your soap box is about ready to fall apart after all these years of service to CP. (That's meant as a little joke, not a slam or sarcasm) :)

This is pathetic......it really is. The guy had to have heart surgery while he was away from home and some of you are tearing him apart.

As far as the other situation, well....it is what it is. What i mean by that is that entire situation could have been avoiding by implementing standard online selling practices that 99.5% of online sellers(whether they know you or not) do which is take payment first, then ship. In doing this you never need to go track down people for money they owe you, you never need to make nasty posts about someone who didn't pay, you don't need to send a ratpack after them to their house for your money. The pay first then ship method is tried and true, it works. If you get burned going against the grain, so be it, lesson learned.

I'm not standing up for Chuck here, and I'm not saying what I'm saying because of who was involved in the other transaction. I'm just here speaking my mind like everyone else does on this forum. A little common sense goes a LONG way on the internet.

Lightman, tell Chuck I wish him the best for a speedy recovery.

I said I wouldn't post on this subject again, and it has been over a month since I stated anything in the original post. Please, I see at least one person here trying in a very subtle fashion to get some **** flowing in my direction. Not happening.

From the bottom of my heart, I am delighted this individual is on the road to recovery from whatever, and will be able to provide for his family.

Does anybody think the original PM's I got, or the check that was "sent to the wrong address" came from a hospital room? There was ample opportunity to spend 5 minutes writing a check and another minute and a half walking it down to the mailbox at the end of the driveway. There was ample opportunity long before the **** hit the fan to have said, "George, I can't even afford to ship these back to you right now, no less pay you for them." At which point I would have said, "Take care of your family and health, then pay me."

I'm a fairly intelligent adult, processed all the info made available to me by the other party, and my conclusion is to totally write off this affair, and the individual. I wish others would do the same as far as the affair. If you want to hear whatever gets said on re-entry that's fine, but I've had enough.
