Will be selling my SDA1s. Have had and used them since I bought them from a guy buying a pair of SRSs in (I think) 1982 or 1983. I would say they are in good condition and work. I will probably sell them on Craig's list for Dallas-Fort Worth area so they can view, listen, and I do not have to pack.
How much do you think on average I should ask? Maby a range would be the best way to answer that question. Oh, by the way, the reason I am selling is that I have purchased new speakers.
Thanks,
Larry

Purchased Klipsch Korner Horns. Will use these for music.
I use pair of Polk Tri10, a pair of in wall Polk for rear channel, a PSW10, and a CS1000p center channel for HT -
They are like the sda2.shtml photo except the pattern of speakers in a speaker is like:
T T
M M
M M
W
Of course T for tweeter, M for midrange (I guess) and W for the Woofer (passive radiator?) -
Will get pictures tomorrow afternoon.

Up until now never had anything to ask or say.

If it helps, I bought some SDA1As this summer that have the cabinet style and driver arrangement that you described off of ebay for a local pick up.
Mine have real walnut veneer and came with the cable as well. I paid $267.00 and spent about two hours of time and $20 worth of gasoline to go get them. Good luck:) -
I see the "insert image" button. What are some good rules for the pic size, dimension, etc?
These are big pics. Does the site take care of that for you when you "insert" the image or should you change their dpi or whatever? I do not want to cause a problem. Also I have a number of photos from front back side and so forth. Do you want just front or some of the other? -
Larry,
Just an FYI. I purchased my SDA 1's with walnut veneer and the cable in very good condition for $200 off Craiglist a few months ago.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. Hardly worth trying to sell. What I mean by that is - after you have owned these speakers since the 80's, you have an emotional attachment and selling for so little, even though they are only worth that amount, seems to be an insult to them. They are your old friends. I might ask the technical people or play around with them (the speakers i.e.) myself, to try to turn them into "non stereo" speakers to use in a 7.1 set-up, or try to trade for somthing. Thanks for all your help.

If you would like to sell them for more because of an emotional attachment, I would post them to your local CL and see if you get your asking price. If someone bites, great! If not, you still have the speakers and nothing is lost.

Zingo makes a good point, they are worth what somebody is willing to pay for them. A good demo will show that they beat the hell out of what you can buy at Circuit City for $600 or more! Good luck:)

Or you could help a fellow polkie who's out of a job and wants to join the ranks of fellow SDA owners. For say, $200. You'd be guaranteed that they'd go to some one who'd appreciate them and treat them how they need to be treated. Played lovingly with Led Zeppelin and the likes...
Does anybody remember laughter...?Harman Kardon HK 3490

Yeah, Larry. If you're close to me we could chat about what they would be worth to you. I guarantee they would be loved, just like I love my Monitor 7Cs....maybe more, even!

Oh wait, I see you're in D-FW. I'll never convince my wife to let me go pick them up....
