Not a bad flick. Kept me quite entertained, even if somewhat predictable.

Steven Spielberg directing, so it was very well done. Good acting, good plot, good fun.

I would say 7.5 outta 10. The theater had CRAPPY sound, know I remember why I never go to Cinemarks.

Worthy of a buy in my book.

Enjoy

This is one I plan to blind buy, it looks good and it's got Michelle Monaghan, yeah, she's hot. Glad to hear it's an enjoyable film. Kinda looks like that film Enemy of the State from a few years back, with Will Smith.

While I agree with MrNightly, Spielberg PRODUCED. D. J. Caruso (Disturbia, The Salton Sea) directed.

Saw it last weekend despite seeing the 27% rating on Rottentomatoes.com. It satisfies as a good turn-off-the-ole-thinker action flick, and I'll definitely be snagging the home release so I can watch it again. Not gonna win any Oscars, but a pretty fun ride and Shia Labeouf is surprisingly good in a role that doesn't really seem to suit him at first blush.

Hmmm...I was planning to skip this one for a while, seeing as how I'm not a big Shia fan. If you all liked it, is it one that you would recommend seeing in theaters? Critics seem to dislike this movie, but I've only heard good things about it from friends and now from the polkies.

Exactly I would go see it then. Usually critics have their heads to far up to actually enjoy a film. If they dislike it usually means I will like it. Remember, critics are nothing more then a persons "glorified" opinion.

I tend to find I agree with critics on serious movies, but for whatever reason (probably what you said about heads being in awkward places) critics don't seem to understand mindless action flicks.

I watched this yesterday in IMAX, and really liked it. It would be a fun to watch again at home if this is released on BR

I saw this today, a co-worker wanted to go. I REALLY enjoyed it. A very fun ride, I say it was a near copycat of a film done about 20 years ago. Good acting, decent story and a rocking soundtrack. A purchase on Blu for sure.

Just watched this. Definitely a fun flick.

Could have been a great HT tryout with all the chases and explosions, but I can't say I was impressed with the sound mix on the DVD.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Agreed. The sound was only marginally good. It probably works well if you play movies at very loud levels.

I just watched it, and I thought it was decent. My wife liked it, but I thought it was kind of predictible. The sound was ok, nothing too family room shattering.

Maybe I've watched too many action movies like that.

I rented this movie in Blue Ray and thought the soundtrack was extremely sub par. Very disappointed in the movie too.

Sub par? Did you listen to the Dolby TrueHD track because it gave my system a serious workout, very impressive audio track.

Yeah I did. It's wasn't as good as Batman Dark Knight or Death Race....not even close.

The difference in HT rigs I guess, but I'd say it's just as good as both of those films. I'd almost venture to say it's better then Death Race. But, in all fairness, I'd have to rewatch both to do a fair comparison.

I enjoyed this movie....it was pretty crazy.....It had a base plot that was very similar to other movies, the whole AI taking control and going against its creators, but it was still good......

I've previously found SlaB very irritating. I thought he did a great job in this one. Fun movie, not quite as over-the-top as Wanted, but you need to grease the skids of your brain buffers for you to suspend disbelief. The BD Dolby True HD track was dynamic, but didn't have much bass in comparison to most action flicks.
