What are you guys wearing?
I purchased these in September of last year:
http://www.alpinestars.com/store/productdetails.aspx?productid=356775&cs=1
With about 5k miles of riding time on them, they are starting to wear holes in the tips of the fingers.
I purchased a* because everyone says that theyre great quality, but I think thats semi-unacceptable.
What have you guys used with success over more than a year?

For summer gloves I like a mesh fingerless. Been using these for this summer and have liked them pretty well.
Looking for a good cold weather glove though, so thanks to the aboves for the Fox Creek link.If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
I'm not going to go fingerless, I like my fingers too much. Although it would solve my problem of wearing holes through the tips
While I was searching, I found this absolutely hilarious youtube.

I think you basically got what you deserve.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
My summer gloves are Fieldsheer, so is the jacket. They are at least ten years old with 35,000 miles on them, no holes yet. But these models are no longer available.
I have tried Alpinestar gloves before, and the seams came apart within a couple of years. I also have an Alpinestars jacket for cold weather that is holding up great. -
Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but I wouldn't buy a product whose picture was designed to be flipping me off.........and me paying to take it.

No, thats just the motorcycle wave for the squids on harleys who are too good to give the motorcycle wave back to people on sport bikes.

I don't even bother waving at guys on Harleys anymore, waste of time.
And I ride a (Honda) cruiser, not even a sports bike!If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
For almost the entire year (thanks to heated handgrips), I have been wearing Held gloves for the past 6 years or so and they are holding up great! I got them at a BMW dealer (in San Francisco), but I went to find a link, and apparently, the model I wear is called "Steve" ?!?!:

What's a storebought? Did you build every part of your bike from scratch? Tooling must have been expensive.
Designer gloves? If that's what you call gloves specifically designed for motorcycling, I don't think so. -
-buy another metric car and complain about the economy
-frames from 4130 chr-mo...in house

Nah, I'll just buy a bunch of parts and build my own car. That way I'll be cool, and I won't have a storebought. -
Hmmm, my Honda Accord is one of the few true American built cars. It's got a higher US parts and assembly content than my HD motorcycle.DKG999

Same with my Kawasaki ZX-11D motorcycle. 72% U.S. content, assembled in Lincoln, Nebraska.
