Hi every one.
I like to know how to do common ground for sda srs 1.2TL. My AMP is ROTEL RB-1090. I have no idea if I need to run wire in both - of the speakers on back of amp or need to get done some other way. Any one willing to help ?. Thanks Roy

just follow the diagram on the speaker cabinet. I'm 99% sure the Rotel is common ground.

    ET

    System: MF Trivista SACD > Placette passive> CJ passive horizontal bi-amp> MF 2500A(LF) MF2100(HF) > 1.2TL's

    Other: Speltz silver Eichmann IC's & speaker wire, Econotweaks Detail Magnifiers, PS Audio P-300(source), R. Gray 600, Al Sekala's AC R/C filters, R. Gray HT PC's, Oyaide R-1's,WPC-Z , M-1, Herbie's & DIY Isolation
    Room: Qty 7 - 4' tall 18" diam. bass traps, Qty 4 - 4' X 2' X 4" panels. All DIY - man my wife is tolerant!

Do you have a digital multimeter? That is the easiest way to determine common-ground on an amp.

YES I do. I will see whit meter if they are having open line or not. If they are open line then it is OK to do common ground on that amp ?. I know before I test I must take out the speakers wire.

Use the continuity setting on your DMM and check the two negative binding posts. If they have continuity, you are in good shape and just hook-up the speakers like regular.

OK. If they do not have continuity then ok to put wire in that amp ?. Roy

If they do not have continuity, you will have to ask the Rotel or someone who knows if tying the negative binding posts together will damage the amp.
