I am not going to bash up on any conferences, but it seems the Big 12 is quite solid this year. For some reason, NFL, does not seem all that this year, I have not seen much consistency overall. I am a born and raised Oklahoman, just 15 minutes north of the City of Norman(OU) and have been a fan since. Its going to be interesting in the next several weeks to see how the Big 12 turns out, starting with this weekend. The Red River Rivalry, ahhh... its gonna be crazy down here in Texas. I attended University of Oklahoma for several years and now currently attend University of Texas in Dallas, I dare not sport my OU cap on campus!! hahaha.

Any alumni's here still support their school? Big 12 V SEC would be nice! Sooners have not been able to close out their seasons well lately, so we got revenge in our blood!! hahaha. USC, LSU, O State, Boise State, West Virginia, Oregon...

I'd like to see Texas win, but I have a feeling OU is going to win and it won't be close. OU looks like the team to beat this year.

I am a Texas fan being from Austin but if the 2 teams are exactly equal, we seem to always get out coached.

OU has a very good team this year. They are so quick, solid defense.Should be a good game.

I think Texas has a very good chance at winning. Should be a good game either way though.

I think its gonna be impossible to not get drunk this weekend. I went to the 2005 Red River event at the west end here in Dallas, will never go again. Being a hard core fan is one thing, getting violent over it is another and there were so many skirmishes and fights it was ridiculous. Anyone going to that game? Next year I believe it will be held at the New Cowboys Stadium out in Arlington, that would be an awesome experience.

Longhorns will be facing all the better teams in the Big 12 this year, its gonna be a great season!

It doesn't really matter if OU wins the RR shootout, some crazy weekend will stop them from running the table, or they will make it to the BCS only to lose big.

I'm a life long fan, but never build too much hope when they are suppose to "win easily". Stoops has a tendency to be outcoached at the worst times.

Stoops ran into the problem with assistants that all the guys he started with are now head coaches and most doing quite well.
He's always had Fred Akers' number, and Fred was the guy OU originally wanted when Switzer was forced out.

OU - Texas is a great rivalry, and I'm not a big football fan anymore.

I've been a WVU fan for almost 25 years. This year has been extremely disappointing to say the least.

Thank goodness I have the DVD of last year's Fiesta Bowl to remind me how explosive that we used to be. We miss Owen Schmitt quite a bit.

SEC is doing pretty well for itself too. Before last weekend, 4 of the top 10 teams were from the SEC...(Go Gators!)

Oh my, LSU v Florida. This game should be interesting. OH Mr. Les Miles, bolted the Big 12 for the SEC, would love to see LSU the coming years when Mr Sabans recruits are all gone.

    Go Sooners!!

Sorry about last week Cody.......Cowboy here. We'll see how good we really are this weekend.

Spent some time at OSU before finishing at Harding. I live in SEC country now, but I just can't seem to find a team to like.......

Pretty flashy stuff. Juggle-rooski for an OU TD, then Texas takes it all the way back 5 seconds later. Game on.

    Boooo! Spurrier is a traitor!
Although he is a great coach, the way he left Florida was very unprofessional. It definitely angered quite a few people in G'ville. You can have him, we've got Meyer now!

WOW! What an amazing game. Couple of questionable calls, I'm sure the OU fans will be whining but there were bad calls against both teams. The fact that UT came out on top is icing on the cake. Best game of the year so far. I knew Texas had a shot if they executed well and they did just that.

Poor aggies. They might get a couple more wins over Iowa State and Baylor if they try real hard. :D

Congrats to the Gators - they SPANKED LSU into shame!

It's sooo cool to see Les Miles humbled.....

Wow. Yesterday was insane! The OU Texas game was almost a circus. That was a great game, trailing until the fourth, and clinching the win, amazing! Ok State beat out the Tigers, things are getting very interesting.

So now the divisional championship games are done with. I know not many people like the big 12, for whatever reasons, lack of d, blah blah blah.. Or is it, lack of offense by other divisions? However, it was great to witness the Sooners break all kinds of records. To think about it, the Sooners were just as good on the ground game, dual running backs with over 1000 yards each. The thing that needs to be done, is get a real kicker, and of course that horrible special teams. Go Sooners. Go Gators. Its gonna be a great game!!!!

If Oklahomo ends up losing 5/5 bowl games and all except against Boise State by Blowouts, they should be disqualified from the Championship game along with Ohio State for the next 30 years.
