Scored a pair of near mint SDA-1b's from craigslist for $140!Woohoo!!I was actually looking for 7b's which would match my system but could'nt let these go.Now I have to get an amp to push these monsters and just sold a Sansui AU-20000 on ebay(needed the $$) which would have - waaaaahaahaahaahaa.
Have an NAD 2200 Power Envelope Amp sitting on the shelf that needs repair so will (hopefully) run that off my Pioneer SA-9500II with an output of 80 watts which is clipping at half volume.
Can anyone tell me if there is a schematic/parts list to upgrade the caps here in Polk Club.If so what is the quickest way to find it?
I am soo jazzed to have these speakers.I had to run to Jacksonville to get them which is 80+ miles away, but I could never have afforded them on e-bay for the cost of shippng.
Thats my story and now i'm a REAL Polkie...(can't wait to upgrade to a Polkster...or a PolkMeister!)

The most common problem on 2200's is cold solders on the relays, an easy fix. So check that first. Also I had one and put a good power cord on it and it made a huge difference. The stocker is a joke. I even bypassed the on/off switch since I had a Monster Power with switched outlets.

You should be happy if you go to a bar and strike out with 'anything that smells like fish" :D you'll be happier in the morning if you dont score with something like that :D I may get some flak on that comment but couldnt help myself ...

Back to speakers now ....<crickets chirping>
