By golly it is. I went back to the FM and he said he'd dropped the price. Oh well.
    Even better price, tho.

Nothing of the sort. I'm a big Polk fan.
I've been wanting SDA'a for a couple of years since I heard ND13's pair. I can't find any locally that are a good deal and I ran into this single. I'd never seen one before and I originally thought it might be an "accessory" piece for the big SDA. I looked around for a match, asked for info to build a match to it with no luck here, and as a courtesy to keep it in the Polk family I offered it up here to hopefully let a Polk lover get it. No bites and it went to Ebay. This is not a "profit" or business offering. I bought it for me with the hope I might end up with some SDA of some sort or another. I can't keep every piece I find.
I do have tons of gear. I buy it, listen to it, and decide if I'm going to keep it or not. If I could I would keep every audio piece I've ever bought. I love the stuff. It's the only way I can get the gear that I want for me.
I've listed 3 pieces for sale here on this forum. All personal pieces. I've sold some drivers only from my M7's my GF dropped helping me move them from the house to my apartment after the big flood this spring destroyed my house. That was in reply to a wanted post.
The forum would be the last place I'd use to sell for a profit. I watch the prices here and the forum isn't a place I'd try to make a living from.
I've made only one purchase from the forum. A beautiful small collection of vinyl from BaggedLancer I just received yesterday. Great condition and high quality recordings. Many thanks Mark. I love them. I listened last night for about 6 hours. Quality recordings are so hard to find and you've supplied me with days on end with hard to find beautiful music.
I love Vintage Polk, vintage Klipsch, and vintage AR speakers. My preference is NOT in any order. It depends on my music listening mood. They all have their place for reproduction. I've never seen one speaker or one brand of speakers or gear that's perfect for EVERY type of listening. It seems to take three to six systems for reproducing most types of music. I may take it a little overboard in my love of music but I'm sure anyone not an audio nut would look at almost all of us and think we're nuts for spending thousands of dollars on our systems.
I'm not rich. I'm retired military on a fixed small income with a 7 year old at home I raise by myself without any help at all. This is the only way I can buy decent gear to listen to.
Just a bit of FYI for you to let you know I'm not "Hustling" the forum.
I do understand the concern that a **** may be invading your space trying to make a buck here but it's not that way at all.
My apologies if I've been longwinded in defending/explaining myself to you.
No harm or misintentions at all.

Sheesh, even sellers that have posted before aren't safe from the resident Polk Ogre. I guess we'll have to change the requirement to 1K+ to post in the Flea Market.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Still worth trying to lowball the heck out of him. :) I find that people expect to be lowballed on craigslist. I expect to be lowballed, so i post for quite a bit higher than i would actually take.

I wouldn't be too surprised if you could walk away with both pairs for $650.

Supposedly the ones pictured were sold last week. I talked to him on the phone about the black ones. He wasn't sure of the model but said he would send pics. Never got them and he hasn't returned any calls or emails since. He's actually less than a half hour from me. I had keys in hand ready to buy. No contact at all. I've tried at least a half dozen times.

That's basically how CL runs. You always expect people to bargain unless its something for $25 or under. When dealing with cash of course, its the nature of the game.
