Problem Pioneer 1018 And PS3 Hookup

I posted this over on AVS under the official Pioneer 1018 thread but it got buried.

I've had my PS3 hooked into the HDMI BD input and all was working fine. Now I get no audio and only video. I was playing around with some of the functions on the receiver and perhaps switched something I shouldn't have. The PS3 and HDMI cable are fine as they work when using the regular HDMI input. I’ve checked that the audio output on he PS3 is set to HDMI. When I use BD and hit the System Select, Multi Channel In blinks. Any ideas?

Try another HDMI slot to see if it is infact the reciever or the Ps3.

On my hk I can select the audio source for each video input. I am not sure about the Pioneer.

Check all the setting in the PS3. At one point I did something to the settings. The best thing to do if you haven't already is to hold the power botton on the PS3 for 5 secs, this resets the PS3 and will defualt the video and audio to the lowest setting. Then it will reconize the HDMI and you can start over.

on the remote for the pionner press the receiver button and then the BD button. be carefull not to have your volume to high...

I have done just that. The HDMI cable and PS3 work just fine in both of the other 2 HDMI inputs.
