I have many speakers, Monitor 11s, and 10s, Monitor 30s and a PSW12- just from polk. And a pair of technics towers, and old bose cube stuff.

BUT..... the Cherry R50s, are only like $59 still, and if i have extra money in the near future.....it could cure my "simple tower" craving haha. Any input on these? They look nice...I've never heard them, does anyone in CT carry them?

let me clarify its $59 per speaker, which seems to be "frys" permanent price? so for like $150 or so i could get a set. But would they be any better/different then what i have?

I think at that price point, all things considering, they are a good deal. I doubt you could find them cheaper. I think if you have them hooked up to a good amp, you wouldn't even need a subwoofer connected for these unless you plan on running these in an HT setup. Still, for that price, I would be tempted myself to pick up a pair.
    Current Setup:
    :( Yamaha AX-450 Amplifier
    :) Yamaha YST-SW216 Sub
    :) Sony DVPNC800H/B CD/DVD Player
    :) Samsung LNT2653H LCD TV
    :)polkaudio R150's

They can't touch M11s or M10s in any category. They are a great entry level value and do alot of things very well, but aren't outstanding at anything. In retrospect, they were hard to upgrade out of because of their value. Good enough so that it was hard to spend $$$ on products that are better, but quite a bit pricier. I think it would be a step back. Since you already have some vintage stuff and want towers, I'd look for some RTA8s, 11s or LS 50/70s in that price range (<$200).

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

It depends what your goal is. You say you have many speakers? Why? If you are looking to get better speakers that what you currently have, then skip these. They are Polk's entry level and you already have some nice speakers. If your budget is a little bigger, you don't mind used, and you have some time, then you have better options. You could get into some used RTi6's 8's for 1-2 hundred more. LSi9's can be bought for around $450 to $550 used. Both these options would be far better than R50's. For this hobby, that isn't a lot of money.
