DSWpro400 flashing green light

Need some help. I have a brand new DSWpro400, when I hooked it up to my AV Receiver (via the pre-sub out / LFE jack) and powered it up for the first time, there is no sound. On the back of the sub is a flashing green light, this is the case in both the "auto" and "on" mode, in standby it goes to yellow. Also the sub is not reacting to the remote control (I've checked the remote through the viewfinder of my digital camera and verified it is sending a signal).
I've checked the receiver to make sure it is sending a signal to the sub, also I've tried an in-line connection but without success.
Can't find a reference in the manual to what a Flashing Green Light means.
Any ideas?
