Tweeter blown in 10B?

Fuse is good but nothing coming out of one of the tweeters. Have tried various input sources (CD, PS3, DVD etc) but no sound. The 1 amp fuse is not blown. Can a tweeter fry even if the fuse does not blow? I guess I was pushing them a little further than I have before (new amp).

swap the tweeter and see,or remove it and attach it to speaker wire,,and Carefully turn up the volume,,then you'll know--good luck.

Thanks George. I did the swap as you suggested and it does not work on the other side either. The good one does work. So I guess it is toast. Perhaps the fuse does not offer 100% protection?

I'd order the RDO's but I understand that requires some modifications to the cabinet to fit? I found a pair of 7B's on CL for $75 - http://columbus.craigslist.org/ele/859324682.html. I'm wondering if I could just swap those tweeters for my SL1000's?

Edited to add...I think it was Genesis' "Mama" that toasted this ****!

Those are not 7b's. They are Monitor 7's series 2 with SL2500 tweeters and will not work with your speakers. Good luck.

Just ordered the RDO's yesterday. And I guess I'll be getting the Rotozip too.
