The main thing you need to worry about is the watts. Make sure that you have ups that has enough power to back up the projector. Power Consumption (in Operation) : 265W is my projector and I use the APC Back-UPS RS 1500VA/ 865 Watts, Standalone, 120V, LCD . This like the ones mentioned above have the AVR protection. Plus what ever you plug in to these things are insured. A distinguishing feature of the Back-UPS RS is automatic voltage regulation (AVR). If no one sees it there is no reason to spend the extrta change on the fancy case.

I wouldn't put either in the ceiling in case of a malfunction, etc...

Just get a longer power cord.

As for the units I listed, they can be found on Amazon and elsewhere for half, sometimes less than half of the price listed.

My projector is rated at 240 watts,& it also states that the amps are 2.8a-1.2a what does that mean? Also I found some ups that cost 60.00-100.00 $ as long as the watts match or are greater than the projector it should work am I correct? thanks
