Looking for some help on upgrading

I want to upgrade my system. I want to buy a good set of floorstanders and need to know what would be a good pair to go with. I have a 5.1 system(check out rdb2001 on system showcase). I want to move my front bookshelfs to the surrounds and add the floorstanders to the front to make a 7.1. I am also looking for a new receiver that with decode true hd. Thinking about going with something from marantz, but I like my yamaha and thinking about using one of their higher end receivers. Cant wait for your input.

What' s your budget? You don' t have to get a receiver that decodes if your Blu ray player does. Just a thought.

my budget is about 600 for the pair of floorstanders. I have a ps3 for my blu ray playing. When I play bluerays, my receiver says PCM. I thought to decode dd true hd and dts hd you would need a reciever that decodes that. Mines only has 1080p pass through.

If it were me I would try to match everything. Do you have to have floorstanding speakers because for $600 you can get rti a3 for the front and surrounds and csi a4 for the center for $600 and it will be a improvement over your current setup. Or you could just grab a pair of rti 10's or 8' s for the fronts. But it will not match your center.

Where would I find those speakers at for those prices. On polk they list for 500 a pair for just the rti a3 alone. So I do not know how I would by 2 pair and a center channel for six hundred. But if you can show me where that is, I am definitely going to get them. I have found a good deal on a 7.1 THX certified Marantz receiver. It is refurbished though with a one year warranty. I am also looking at an 800 series yamaha. Your thoughts.

Keep checking at the Polk Direct store on ebay. Right now there are no A3s or A5s, but last week there were several pair. Theres a CSi A4 or two and an A6 awaiting bids now.
