So what happened with your team on Sunday?

Yeah, Dallas pissed me off. I didn't get to see much of the game at all. Lost power for about 20 minutes and missed most of the 2nd quarter. But what I did see, really ticked me off and I'm starting to wonder what the hell it is that Wade Phillips does all week? WHY are they still committing all these penalties? WHY are there still turnovers in copious amounts? It is readily apparent that Dallas does not have to work on game plans. They got that down pretty good. What they clearly have to work on is game play. Recievers should be catching balls not bobbling them and throwing them away. Running backs should have hands like velcro and stop throwing that ball out there with one hand just to get popped and stripped or fumbled. If anything, break out the Emmit Smith tapes for a tutorial on what a running back AND a reciever should be doing in a game.

Terrell Owens needs to shut his trap and play the damn game. If he wants the ball, beat the double coverage like everybody knows he can do 'cause he's done it before! Romo needs to get the bricks out of his shoes and avoid trouble faster. He stands like a statue too long and he has to scramble too hard and it affects his accuracy.

Lastly, why was Felix Jones barely in the game yesterday? The kid is raw talent and he has the ability to be part of a triple threat with Crayton, Owens and Jones, every teams would need to have 5 backs to cover those recievers AND Witten. One of them will be able to get through every play. Just doesn't makes sense. This team has the potential to brutally dominate and they don't because they make mistakes like penalties and turnovers and they aren't leveraging the talent. I used to support Wade Phillips and thought he was good for the team but now I think they need to retire Phillips and get Jason Garrett to be the head coach. I knew it would be a tight game and I knew the Redskins have the ability to beat the Cowboys and I honestly knew the Redskins would beat them because unlikee the other teams, the Redskins have shown an ability to gain momentum and capitalize on opponents mistakes.

As far as other teams, what happened to the Eagles? The Bears got a hard win out of that one but it just shows that the Eagles are honestly nothing without Westbrook. Harsh, yes, but look at the history. Every time they don't have Westbrook, they get the big fail. They should change the name to The Philadelphia Westbrook. Stupid Eagles. When are they going to stop sucking more than a Hoover? I swear, they will find a way to choke and lose on a bye week.

How about those Bills? Where did they come from?

The Jets and a 56-35 win over Arizona? Mr Warner looked good but still seemed to have a bad day even with, what, an almost 500 yard game I think it was? And defense on both sides was seemingly non-existent.

And Green Bay loses to the The Bucs. I swear, it looks like they are running a game plan based around Favre without Favre. It's the same stuff as last year. They are running plays that Favre excels at but Rodgers doesn't. Honestly, until they take that tremendous pool of talent in GB and reset it to play with Rodgers instead of playing for Favre, I don't think we will see Rodgers' full potential. The biggest problem with that team is that it is built around Favre and Favre is not there any longer. They need to restructure and replan for Rodgers, he's not the back up any more. The prescence of a game plan built around Favre and the lack of any game plan centered around Rodgers neuters Rodgers as a team leader. They need to revist the game plan and make it Rodgers' team, Rodgers' Packers. Not Rodgers playing with Favre's Packers. Otherwise, he's just going to be a backup filling in for Favre until Favre comes back.

My team didn't play, and I wasn't really around much on Sunday to watch football, but I just read that the Raiders attempted a 76-yard field goal

    That's not a typo. Seventy-six yards.

What a mess that franchise is.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

You know what else I noticed too? With this past week and how well the Redskins did, the entire NFC east looks like serious playoff contenders. Even with the Eagles blowing it on Sunday and the Cowboys losing to the Redskins. I still think the Cowboys are over-rated but honestly, the schedule so far has not necessarily been easy so they are winning against some tough teams. But I think the Eagles are very over-rated and I think Westbrook is severly under-rated and is probably the best running back in the league, no matter what Peter King thinks. I also think the Redskins are very under-rated. We have 3 solid Super Bowl contenders in the NFC Beast and one that is likely going to to get at least a wildcard slot.

This is such a fun season already!

You cant teach an old dog new tricks....that boy will keep yapping till someone shuts it for him.

I found it really hard to believe that Jerry Jones even wanted that face spitting , overdosing ( Not even keen enough to pull that off right ) , Dallas star disgracing ( Twice...at least a dallas safety had the balls to tackle him the second time :) ) punk **** .

This year has been fantastic...actually having me fire up the second tv in the living room so I could have my NHRA drag racing on and football on at the same time.

Hey, Favre did alright by the Jets this week. looks like he and the rest of the offense are starting to get on the same page.

of course Jets first half defense = awesome
second half? = solid as spongebob squarepants.......that might be the coaches fault though, as they were not running the same defense scheme as in the first half.

Green Bays running game didn't show up last night. They may have to look around the league for a veteran QB. Green bay should have put Chad into the trade somehow with Brett Favre.

Oh well we'll see which GB packers team show up next week.

My team (the Redskins) won!!!!! But, Dallas has nobody to blame except Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. The fact that Barber rushed the ball 8 times in the whole game is a crime. That guy is a beast and they gave up on him way too soon. Not that I'm complaining................Dallas had a horrible game plan and the NFC East has some serious contenders for sure.

John, I feel your pain, trust me. They way I see it, that game came down to one thing - they couldn't get the run going, period. If they had, the passing game and coverage would have opened up. I know its cliche', and blah blah blah, everyone always has their one 'key to a victory' - that being said - one of my two big ones is clock management, and establish the running game (which pretty much takes care of the clock). If they know you can't make lanes in the line for the backs to get through, the db's and safety's don't have to sell out on a run.

    Can't wait for next week!

    Cheers,

Chiefs ROCK... er... never mind. :( Ha.

And Denver hardly shat the bed... the young chiefs were so pumped up they just dominated in every aspect! Denver was outplayed, and outcoached, and that is saying something since it was the Cheifs who did it!

1-15 ain't so bad if we get the first pick of the draft ;)

Titans go on to 4-0, first time in franchise history. God I'm glad Vince Young got hurt, most overrated player in the NFL. Granted they've been playing horrible teams...but still :p
