Your best bet will be to call Polk. Tell them you're a club Polk member and you'll receive a discount.

Thanks, I've already searched and found alot of rambling BS from disgruntled members. I will take your advice posted here http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showpost.php?p=618749&postcount=7 after I hear back from skrol. :D

I received my RDO198's today and replaced one if the SL3000's so I could compare. The RDO does have a delicate character and less bright. Depending on the music, the brightness of the SL3000 can be an asset. I particularly like them for jazz brass and piano. The RDO's will likely lend them selves well to classical. As far as which one is better probably boils down to preference.

You can't compare them right out of the box. It takes 24-48 hours of solid play time for them to burn in.

The RDO198's are keepers. I listened to some Alison Krauss and some Nora Jones and their voices were just so natural. Nora Jones' voice was more sultry and silky than I had ever heard before. I thought that the silk dome RDO would be less detailed than the SL3000 but it is very detailed yet remains delicate. The sound stage seems deeper and more open.

This is pretty much right out of the box. Can they really get better after seasoning?
