Gold plated bar jumpers

I just replaced the flat bar jumpers on my CSi5 and RT800s with 12ga Belden. While I can't really tell if there's a difference in sound quality on the RT800s(back surrounds), I can on the CSi5. The dialog is clearer.

What I wasn't expecting was the output difference. I always calibrate my speakers to 85db using the built-in tone generator and my RS SPL meter set for C weighting and slow response. When I checked the levels of these speakers (RT800s are my surround back in a 7.1 setup), I had to drop the CSi5 .5db and the RT800s by 1db. I check the bars for corrosion and they were clean and the speaker wire is new, so it can't be due to moving around corroded connections.

Hmmm..... Anyone else do this and notice a change not only in sound quality, but in output level as well?
