My wife finally said that maybe it was time to get a new TV and I was shopping the next day...couldn't give her a chance to change her mind:)
Picked up one of these at Best Buy open box for about 1/2 MSRP. Not as good a deal as I thought it was when I made the somewhat impulse purchase, but still not bad I don't think. This is replacing a 13-14 year old 50" Pioneer rear projection TV that just won't die. There were some good reviews and good prices on Panasonic and Samsung, but I ended up staying loyal to Pioneer due to the great experience with the aforementioned TV.
Now...can't wait to get my HD DVR from DirecTV.
