Tsi100 Bi-amping???

I am a newbie and I am really little lost to buy an AV receiver in order to get the best sound of my Tsi100 (100watts amp recommended.

I am thinking to get the Denon AVR-1909 (90 x 7) and bi-amp the front speakers just to see if I get the best performance from these speakers. Will it work?

If not, which is the best way to get a best sound, buy a cheaper receiver + an amp? Any recommendation for a receiver + amp that match with the watts of the Tsi100.

I can see the rough budget by the selection but are you buying the AVR just for your speakers? or your actual needs otherwise?

Val, welcome. The so-called "bi-amping" feature that some receivers advertise isn't of any benefit. Actual bi-amping requires two separate amplifiers and an external crossover before the amplifiers so that they get only a limited frequency range to amplify. A receiver has only one amplifier, with a single main power supply section feeding several channels of output transistors. These transistors act as valves to apportion the voltage from the power supply section as needed to make the speaker play loudly enough; they have no power of their own, and sending the power supply through two sets of output transistors(one previously unused for a surround speaker)rather than one can't double the available maximum power, as some imagine, or increase it by any amount. Make your speaker wire connections in the usual manner.

You don't have to "match" the manufacturer's suggestion as to watts. The 1909 has a quite powerful amplifier and should be plenty unless your room is very large and you're playing material with a very wide dynamic range and using a very high average listening level(possibly damaging to your hearing).

To add on to John's comments....the TSi500 is 91dB(@1watt) efficient and at the Denon 90wpc, plenty loud and dynamic enough for your needs.

Bi-Amping the TSi series just isn't important in your particular case.

For what you explained, I understood that the bi-amp is just for bigger speakers/systems.

But I am not looking for "loud", what I am looking is for "sound quality", that is what bi-amp prayed. I suppose that if the Tsi100 brings this feature (bi-amp) is just to get a "better sound quality" if you use it, otherwise is just a Polk marketing strategy to sell.

So, what amplifiers/external xovers can be used to get the best sound of the front Tsi100. Sorry to insist but I bought these speakers due the size of my room and the capability to get a "better sound quality".

I'm only commenting on your listed setup. There are alot of people who like to bi-amp their loudspeakers or simply use those cables.

If you can bi-amp, do it. If you already have a bi-amp setup, use it. There's are benefits but this will vary from person to person and system to system. I use the terminals because I use bi-wire cable but I don't bi-amplify because I have no need to do so.

It's not just marketing as it's almost the standard termination for MANY loudspeakers and it offers the buyer flexibility and options.....just like you originally asked.
