Good evening! This is my first posting. I just acquired a pair of RTI A9 and would like to ask you if the Bryston B4 is a good choice for the speakers. I need to add that the reason why Bryston is so attractive to me is that their US Service Center ( Vermont) is one hour driving from my house. This is also important!

I heard really good things about the amp and also about the customer service which is always there for you! Thank you for sharing...

Could depend on the music you listen to and the application. Those 3 woofers in each speaker can eat power.

I wonder if the 14B might be a better choice.

The Emotiva LPA-2 is less than half the cost of the Bryston, and can run bridged at 1000w ... put two of them together ... but then again, Emotiva ain't Bryston.

So. What will you use them for, what kind of music, and how loud?

Does budget matter? I'm guessing with the 4B you are around $3k? Willing to spend more? How much?

The 4B is rated 250 watts per channel conservatively! I intend on listening mostly to classical music. I will use my Marantz AV 7000 as a preamp for now. What do you think? And yes $3,000 is a lot of money.... P

Well, for classical, the 4B should be fine. Whether or not the rti a9 is the speaker for classical is another question.

You should probably post this to "electronics" and not "forum testing area" for more reads though.

I have the RtI A9's and I am running Adcoms 555II ( 200 watts @ 8 ohms) and they sound awesome. They can be had for around $350 used.

Also there is a Rotel 1080 in the for sale column which will also be a good choice with
    200 watts @8 ohms.

Don't know about classical since I only listen too Rap/ R&B, but I wouldn't consider the RTI A9's to be a speaker for classical music. Remember you don't need to spend a fortune to get those speakers to sound good.

I did listen to classical music on these speakers and they performed very well. I have a friend who also purchased them and listen mostly to classical music. I guess I am a little bit puzzled.... P
