Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum after finding it while researching newer Polk products. I've owned Polks since the early 80's and still have a set in my collection. I've gone from low-fi to mid-fi to hi-fi and back to what I'd consider mid-fi. I like mid-fi better for the sole reason its easier on my bank account, to a degree.

    Welcome to club Polk.
Many of here have both Polk and non-Polk stuff.
And a lot of gear spanning low to high.

    Welcome to CP.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I still have a pair of original SDA 2's. They still sound pretty good considering the age. I'm looking into upgrading the drivers, tweets and crossovers to see if they can come back to life as new again.

there is no need to upgrade the drivers.. just the tweeters if they are SL2000's. and upgrading the crossovers will help bring them back to life.

    welcome to club Polk. :)

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
