Well, it might have some cool factor, but how many decent stereo preamps have HDMI input? SACD through an AVR? I don't think so, or at least not paying that much._________________________________________________

SOPAThank God for different opinions. Imagine the world if we all wanted the same woman -
Strange piece isn't it? and Sony "ES" to boot...AND a changer. I"m baffled. I believe the article also states it has standard RCA analog outs as well...
I would love to see SACD flourish...and I think in time, it will thanks to Blu Ray.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

While having one single HDMI cable to transmit multi-channel data is convenient, a player with an excellent DSD>>>analog can sound just as good....if not better.

At this point anything that promotes SACD is a good thing.Political Correctness'.........defined

I enjoy SACD through my HK. It sounds good to me. I probably know what I am missing but still like it anyway.

It should be against the law to produce any new recordings that are not SACD from this day forward.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -

Well I think it should be against the law for producers to release over compressed lame recordings. SACD rocks, but a bad recording is a bad recording:(Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

The ONLY music that I actually spend money on these days is SACD. If its not on SACD, I won't buy it. Just not worth it.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Even if they don't release it themselves, Sony should license recordings to companies like MoFi Labs for release on SACD.
