I have a pair of SDA SRS 1.2's that I am considering selling. Anyone know what they are really worth? I would not take a dime less than 2 grand but are they worth more? They are in like new condition. Anyone interested?

im just wondering why are you selling such a nice speaker?
scott:cool: -
Because I need the money. Out of work ex dot com tech. Say that 10 times fast. They are truly awsome speakers. I have a modified haffler 500 series amp and a modified haffler preamp. The bass is mind boggling. I dont turn them up very often but when I do everyone gets to listen.

I got my 1.2 TL's about 6 months ago for $1600, so I think you are shooting a bit too high as far a $2000 is concerned.
Not that they are not worth it because they are worth every penny of that, however, in real dollar terms in todays market someone would really, really, really,REALLY want them to pay that high of a price.
If you are firm on 2 G's, you may be a while selling them. But if you are in need of cash fast and MUST sell right now, you would be doing good to get around $1400 for them.
In any case, good luck, as whom ever gets these will be in heaven as I was with the TL's.
Peace,

I did plan on being buried in them! lol Now will have to go through eternity without sound. I am entertaining any and all offers. I saw a set go for 2400 on ebay once. I won"t tell you what I paid for them. Ever here that story about the couple that split up and the husband calls the ex and says sell the vette and send me the money and she sent him a 50 dollar bill. lol. Did not pay 50 but still was a very good price.

Ow, that hurts.
I'm in the same dot-commed-jobless boat, and I'm up against probably a dozen other senior Unix security people in the Boston area for the few openings that show up. Hindsight is clear, I should have stayed with the previous boring-but-steady company, where my ex-colleagues want me back but they've been in a hiring freeze for seven months.
Of course, like many others, I've been lusting after a pair of 1.2tl's (not that they'd really fit acoustically or size-wise in the small-and-tall rooms in my ancient apartment... ). But if I had the pocket change, I'd buy a pair anyway, and make them fit somehow... :-)
If possible, considering that you'll probably get lowball offers for the 1.2's in the current economic climate, and also considering that they're really not easy to replace, and further, considering that after a long day of job-seeking there's nothing I like to do better than listening to music and I'd guess it's the same for you, then I'd say hold on to them until the very end, and I hope you're not already there.
Here's to finding a job soon!

Maybe I can join them together and live in them. LOL. Maybe even get a room mate to share the cost of keeping that power hungry Haffler amp powered up! Thanks for the replies! Things can only get better. Now how does that go again. OH YEA Would you like frys with that sir? lol

RuSsMaN was absolutely correct, if I had those speakers, I would put a big leather strap around them and use 'em as earphones. No way would I part with 'em....
I was just hackin' on you guys, but seriously McD's WAS having a career day...I thought that was hilarioius. I can't make stuff up that good.

The few times I have thought about selling my 1.2 TL's, I immediately talk myself out of it. Hell, sometimes even the wife talks me out of it. You gotta do what you gotta do, but sell everything ELSE first.
