B&W ASW750, looks like hell but...

performs like a gem. I took a risk from the Bay it seems to have paid off; other than the fact the sub looks like it was kicked around inside the delivery truck while careening down a palisade, it works great! I have 2 questions for ya:

1) Can I do something to condition the surround (it is a heavy foam)? I have heard mink oil works for some subs. B&W had no information on their site from what I could tell and the Polk community knows what they are doing.

2) You probably noticed I have a crappy monster cable connection. Does a single line out to the left side still have the same effect as my left/right setup? From what I understand, THX stuff uses the one connection.

As you can tell, I am new at this stuff. I have upgraded from a CV 150w 15" to the B&W beast, no comparison implied. I appreciate your help.
