In the past 10 years I have replaced my elecronics 4 times but my speakers remain constant.
I thing it's about time looking into upgrading them, I have an open room so I need something that would fill that space.
I was thinking about the RtiA9-A7 or the SVS MTS-01.

Fronts RT55
Center CS400
Surround FXi50
Rear RT25
Sub SVS 20-39+

Integra DTC.9.8
BA 7200

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Peter

I would save the money by keeping the sub you have, as the bang for buck just isnt going to be there in that direction in my eyes.

now a front soundstage upgrade.......thats a good thing. I have mad respect for the RT55 CS400 combo, but if your feeling its the time to move on, then it is pretty much time to move on.

the RTi series would be a move up in my eyes.......but if you take the money you were going t spend on the sub, maybe go the LSi front stage route. while it wont be timbre matched with your surrounds, it will still work fine, and your front stage will be on point.

that BA7200 you list, is that an amp? if you....even better. The Integra could probably do the LSi fronts fine, but beefy amplification either now or down the road will make them sing even more.

just my .02, believe me, the RTi series will probably make you happy as a clam too, but I know from experience that I have the LSi, and havent considered an upgrade in years, with no plans to in the future

    Ohskigod, thanks for your input.

Main purpose is for movies, yes the BA7200 is and amp(120x7). As far as Lsi series is concerned iwould love too but I will have to get a bigger amp to feed it and probably upgrade the 2 outlets(circuits) that i'm using to 20amps.

I'm not changing the sub, very pleased with it. So wil it make sense to get RTiA7 instead the RtiA9?

I have been very happy with the RT55's but for some reason i feel that I'm missing something.

Has anubody heard about the MTS series from svs. Even on the AVS forums there is not much discussion.

I have the RT55i as my main, the CS400i center and the FX300i rear surrounds. I have no desire to replace my current setup. IF I decide to change, it would be nothing more than replacing the RT55is with my RT400s or upgrading my Dayton Titanic sub. This is mainly a HT rig but it does a very nice job for music as well.

The first rev of the MTS was criticized for being too laid back and neutral, though some reviewers liked it. If you look at the last page of the AVS thread, the new crossovers are discussed with their results. The last post from the owner of L Sound is pretty telling. The new rev is much improved and if I were shopping they'd certainly be considered.
