2b's in a moderate room work very well. I had the original 2's in a 24x24 room, and they did a real admirable job:)

Just remember the rules of running SDA's properly. If you don't they will not be up to par.

Excellent match for SDA's. Just keep in mind you really should have 3 feet on either side of the speakers.

If the surface was rosewood, I think it was probably a vinyl covering and not real wood veneer, just a guess. If you can get em cheap cheap, they might make a cool "project" to do a rehab on . Also, if you don't feel like taking on a project, they still have value as "organ donors" and could be parted out, what ever you do, don't let em end up in a dumpster:eek: Where are they located ? You might live near a Polk Guru that could mentor you !:)
(I am not one,but wish I was!) A lot of SDA owners change out the tweeters and re-work the crossovers anyway ! As soon as I decide which model I want to stick with, I'm going to have my crossovers upgraded by one of those Gurus I mentioned.

I just recovered the grill and sides (cat scratched them) on mine today, they sound better than my 10b's. I paid $75.00 for mine and they came with an MCS receiver to boot.
