Hi everyone. I've been poking around these forums the past few days...seems like a nice place. I finally decided to register, so I'm just saying hello.

I'm on the verge of taking the plunge into creating a home theater, and there's been lots of good advice and help from these forums. So thanks for all your posts!

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I'm looking to buy my first real avr/speakers. No more of this HTiB business. Nothing too fancy, though, I've got other bills to pay!

It's already too late. When I first decided it was time for upgrades, my budget was about $400.

    That didn't last long :p

It gets WAY worse, trust me.... I came on here mainly to find info on a pair of speakers that i already had, and to find out if 11Ts were good speakers.

It all snowballed from there. I think i was happier before i knew anything. :D

It's a good place, they aren't hard on newbies. Only morons.
