Hi all. AOK here at home. I was 40 miles west of the center of the storm and quite a storm it was. Here in Katy, TX I recorded 75mph sustained winds for 8 hrs (95+ gusts at times). Some minor damage, was only without power for 21 hrs. Heading back to work tomorrow - my building was in, the path of the eye. Several windows missing and the roof hatch blew open allowing water to rush in. Top 3 floors (20 story) flooded (building is an open atrium all the way to the top). At home I sustained some fence damage and roof damage. Leaks entered the house but I still have a house thank goodness. Could have been much worse. I will need to replace a preamp that fell prey to Ike. Thanks for all of your concerns - there are many people in Houston who need our thoughts and prayers. Many will be without basic necessities for weeks. This is/was my last 'cane to ride out.

Any other H-towners here? I work out by the Imperial Valley FEMA POD - there was a shooting at the center. SWAT had to be called in. Why can't people act civil during times of disaster?

Glad to hear your ok...........funny once they take it off the front page news people quickly forget how bad things will be for months to come..one of our contractors in Houston lost alot to the flooding that occured the next day...we just sent a semi down to restock our Houston Central Market operation. Prayers sent to all.................
