Have you thought of the upgrade to the RDO194?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I am thinking about the RDO194, but I have a feeling I would have to replace every SL2000 in the house once I hear an RDO194. ;-)

I snagged a pair of SDA 2B's from a local Craig's List seller for $125 on Monday. The right speaker had the original SL2000, but the left one had a newer SL2500 tweeter in it. It was bugging me that the tweeters didn't sound alike. So I robbed an SL2000 from my Monitor 5jr's I've owned since 1988 and installed it in place of the SL2500. Now I have a 5jr that needs another SL2000.

I suppose I could try to find another SL2500, or get two new RDO194's. But then I'd probably have to get four RDO194's to make 'em all the same, even though the 5jrs are used in a different room.

Anyway, cash is tight at the moment, so I can't buy four RDO194's just now and really shouldn't buy even two of them before I get some bills paid. I really, really had no business buying the 2B's, but it was a deal I couldn't miss. I lusted after the big Polks back in the 1980s.

So if somebody has a spare SL2000 at the right price, then I'm good. Everyone says they are fatiguing and I've read all about the 12-13K spike, but I've always enjoyed the lively nature of these tweets. Could be I'm just used to them.

That's very kind of you, DKG999. Looks like I need to have made 10 posts on this forum before I can send a private message, and this one would be No. 6. Been a member since 2001 and only six posts? I need to work on my Polk obsession. :-)

Anyway, I'll send you my address after I make four more posts and we can work out compensation for shipping. Now, I gotta go a-postin'....

And, by the way, DK... that sounds like a nice HT system you have there.

    There.... that's No. 7.
