You'd be in more of a minority if you DIDN'T think he was a ****. The guy gets a lot of attention for being a complete ****.

ESPN's huge border along the bottom of the screen sucks ****....reminds me of NASCAR's abortion a while back with a huge border for commercials during the race.

If the Eagles suck, then the Cowboy's defense is terrible. I'm just bitter since I had the Cowboys defense on my fantasy team.

    Actually,

That was one of the BEST games I have seen in the last 2 or 3 years. Not as good as last years Super Bowl but a VERY entertaining game.

I agree as well. It is not too often anymore that I stay up past half time to watch the games. Now if only Donovan didn't make that damn muffed hand-off to Brian Westbrooke.......

Hey, at least TO carries the ball through the endzone when he has a TD. Also, the media prods him (and most other athletes) to get the answers they want to hear. He does come across as fairly genuine in his answers, even though those honest answers do show his narcissism and arrogance.

He is a great talent and has been a great teammate while in Dallas. Maybe he has grown up a bit.

Well, it's an improvement over the whole screen being taken up by commercials with no race at all.

I have my own way to deal with commercials. Start recording it on the DVR, and about 30-45 minutes in I start watching and skip over most of the commercials until I catch back up to live action near the end.

No its not by a long shot, the commercials during the race were extremely distracting ...and EVERY fan voiced their opinion that way so it was stopped immediately. I also use the DVR in that fashion...and you couldnt with the way nascar tried that.

With THIS ball game, it was basically wasted space...the ticker tape ( When used ) could have been much smaller...it was double the height needed.

The Eagles FAR from sucked....that game was AWESOME...McNabb's underhand sling ...running ability ...and overall performance had him looking like a much younger man last night...they really should have won that game.

Both teams left everything on that field last night....thats why we saw awesome performances....as well as really funny mistakes on both sides of the ball...it was the first game of the year that I waited for a commercial to go to the head :D

Geez, did anybody look at the stats? The Eagles were out played last night. The ONLY reason they scored as high as they did was 1 recovery of a fumble for a turnover resulting in a touch down and Dallas was penalized like 10 times for 108 yards with a couple of pass-interference calls that were just bad calls. Philly got the lead because of penalties not because of game playing.

The Eagles were great against Dallas' running game and stuffed them down for about a 68 yard total. But look at the passing game. Romo was 21 of 30 for 312 yards. MvNabb was 25 of 37 for 281 yards. The Eagles were awful on special teams returning for only 185 total yards over 9 returns and one interception to the Cowboys 263 yards over about 10 returns. Factor in the Eagles 5 penalties for 44 yards against Dallas' 10 penalties for 108 yards (some of which were extremely questionable) and the only thing the Eagles did more than the Cowboys besides hold on to the ball 50 seconds longer was fumble it more often and punted it farther.

The Eagles should not have won that game. It honestly probably shouldn't have been that close. There were a few penalties that really helped the Eagles that were just wrong. I can think of a couple pass-interference penalties that shouldn't have gone that way.

The Eagles played a good game but if they were going to win it, it would have been because of Dallas' screw ups, not because they were necessarily playing better ball.

Philly fans. *sigh* You know, they would all cheer in the bar if the Eagles got a 2 yard gain? How sad is that? I guess you gotta cheer for what you can get, huh?

And I said The Eagles suck. I didn't say they sucked last night. I just think they suck, in general, like a Hoover.

Stats ?? I dont think anybody read into the game ( Unless you were a true fan of one of the teams...didnt sound like there were any in the thread ) anywhere near deep enough to care about looking at the stats for that game....we basically got to sit down and be entertained for 4 solid quarters of football last night.

Now sure, I am a stat freak as well for teams I follow...to see how they are improving/falling back ...and to look ahead at their schedule ...check the upcoming teams stats and see how they match up against teams they will be playing soon.

But these 2 teams I couldnt have given a rats **** as to who won ( Well hating Dallas helped me pick a side to root for ....as well as Philly being the underdog ) ....so it was basically just a pure entertainment factor game for me. And it lived up to that in spades :D

What won the game was Dallas's defense waking up in the second half...I was hoping they would have stayed sleeping ;)

Your bias doesn't mean the Eagles should have won. The Eagles did not play well enough to "should have won". Dallas played very well, the just kept getting penalties. Some of them big. But they still managed to outscore the Eagles even with the penalties.

Doesn't matter how it was won, in the end a check in the W column is a check in the W column.

I thought the game last night was awesome and enjoyed watching every second of it.

Now that it is Tuesday I'd say the Cowgirls won. I can't stand the Cowgirls.
Speaking of them, I guess the Dallas fans are happy with the cry baby now that he caught a couple easy passes!! I know, he made them easy by good moves, and your right! Thats what pisses me off.
Oh well GO GREEN BAY!!! JETS TOO now that Brett's in town

You said all of this last year and look where your Eagles got to then.

And why do Philly fans always have to throw insults about anything and everything? I can understand ribbing but calling people cockroaches and "Cowdung fans" is just silly. I also don't understand why Philly fans have to threaten physical violence on anyone who is not a Philly fan. People shouldn't have to fear going to a bar or something to watch their favorite team, Eagles or not. And what's with the shouting chant of spelling Eagles? Sometimes it seems that they are just impressed with being able to spell Eagles. I just don't get it. Silliness.

The other thing I still can't fathom is this "rivalry" thing. It doesn't exist. You come to Philly and they spit at Cowboys fans, insult them, try to beat them up and so on. You go to Dallas and mention a rivalry with Philly and they are like "Philly? Who? Where's that at? Isn't that a baby horse?" I don't think there is any real rivalry for the Eagles that the fans haven't manufacturered in their own minds. It seems the rest of the league doesn't give a damn about the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now go to Dallas and mention the Giants or the Redskins and you might have a problem on your hands! Same goes for mentioning Dallas at the Meadowlands or JFK Stadium.

    Truthfully,

I am a Cowboy Fan Through and Through (since Cowboys-Steelers SSBII you know '75 or '76) What I was saying was, I have not enjoyed a game, other than last years Super Bowl, as much as I enjoyed last night. And as much of a Cowboy fan as I am, I do not agree that it was JUST turnovers and penalties that kept them in the game. The Eagles played well enough to win.

Spoken like a true football fan. Anyone that loves the game, regardless of who's playing will always enjoy a game like that. Exciting games like that just don't come along that often.

Some guys just will never get to that fan level. Oh well, there loss.

Down here the Cowboys keep running commercials of their new DVD release coming out soon of all their great moments. I hear there are going to be some cool extra features:

    - Scenes from the infamous 'house', uncut and raw
    - Footage of Nate Newton getting busted trying to smuggle doobage across into Texas, in a van
    - 412 various Ford Commercials starring Troy Aikman
    - Michael Irvin
    - "Dredging the Tank" featurette - an in depth look at the Cowboys continued practice of picking up 'problem-children' and players around the league with criminal backgrounds, with special interview of Jerry Jones conducted by Marvin Lewis
    - Jerry-World - Virtual Tour of the new 6.5 QUADRILLION dollar stadium
    - "Missed it by THAT much" - Documentary on the psychological effects of not winning a playoff game in over a decade
    - Blooper Reel
    - Terell Owens "Me" clips, including dialogue with Jerry Jones on his decision to bring in a player who once pranced on the star in the middle of the field as a member of an opposing team.
    - and lots more!
