Best and least expensive (entry level?) bipolar, dipolar, omnidirectional towers?

I bought the Polk monitor 11s, and 10s, so now I'm pretty satisfied with 2 channel regular speakers- should hold me over for a while (haha.)

What about bipolar, dipolar, omnidirectional speakers, for one who uses them in 2 channel music systems and where are the "bargains" at, in terms of quality, price, and even size?

    Try some SDA's.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Are those considered that? I thought they just made it sound more "stereo."

What kind of sound are you looking for exactly?

How much do you want to spend?

If you want wall to wall sound, try SDAs or some kind of dual concentric such as Tannoy or KEF.

I guess that, while i'm quite happy with the monitor 11s, and 10s especially for the price i paid, one day i want something that has more depth.

I have no idea if you're familiar with it or not, but Blurs selftitled CD has a great "natural" sound too it, and while it sounds great on almost any speakers, I'm wondering if there is a speaker that will create more "space." I guess what I'm looking for is a 901 that doesnt suck, haha.

Just kind of wondering, I have no money at the moment, just like discussing speakers. One day I'd like to get a set that looks great, and sound very...room filling i guess.

    budget? New or used?

Sounds like Def-Tech may be the cheap route into bi-polar, but if you don't have the right room or setup for them, they may not sound that great.....

If all you are looking for is a wider soundstage than what your monitor 10's are giving you - that is a different question.....
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

If that's the case, get rid of those bloated M10's and pick up a set of Monitor 7's.

I'm looking to get rid of the 10s i just picked up, but i really like the Monitor 11s I have, and will keep those for a while, but i still feel there is something missing depth wise.

You should look for some pre owned Ohm Walsh series.

They need some room to breathe, but are a different design. They have this way of maintain a decent sonic image wherever you are in the room. It is pretty neat.

I have a set of Walsh 2's I was using in the GAYrage. Filled the space and sounded damnn good.

I won't say they are THE best, but they do their job pretty darn well. Just something different, a change of pace...

Once i have money for fun stuff again, it'll still prob be sub $700ish. I just guess would like some speakers that are just.....big sounding. Like I'm a big fan of quality and detail and all, but I want something that sounds **** huge, but would prefer it not to actually be crazy big.
