thanks candyliquor35m for the welcoming!!!!

Well, I am here to sell some Carver amps and a panasonic equalizer. They were all owned by my father and he passed away when I was fifteen. My mother gave me all his stereo equipment 4 years ago when I turned 20 and moved into my own house,, but I hate to say that they have just been sitting in my entertainment stand unplugged. I wanted to sell them so that they could be used by someone, and stop collecting dust. I still have my father's Optonica double sided record player, and his Teac reel-to-reel player, so I will still have alot of memories left with those 2.

If anyone is interested in a carver sonic holography integrated amplifier cm-1090, pioneer stereo graphic equalizer gr-777, carver sonic holography preamplifier tuner ct-6 , carver power amplifier 1-140. please contact me thanks!!!

Ummm...as stated every time. Did you read the Forum rules as to posting to sell things? Seems like no one does.....

    Try Ebay and Craigslist.

Thanks for being honest. All you have to do is hangout for a few days on here and participate (post) to get your post count up to 25 and you can sell away in the flea market.

Since you are new, someone might prefer to buy from you locally rather than risk sending money to a complete stranger.

We were all hoping the storm would knock out CL's interenet for at least a week to slow him from giving bad advice. Coming here to sell, and not participate is really frowned on. As stated above try Ebay and Craigslist. I don't know why the fool thinks if someone post here 25 times in a day or two all of a sudden you are not a stranger:rolleyes: If anything members will see you post whoring, and let you know how they feel.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Whoa! Carl quoted someone's entire post? This is either an imposter, or Carl just means to belittle those who disagree with him? Carl, show enough respect to EVERYONE to quote their entire post. Quite being a "weenie".

Oh and by the way, Carl, feel free to buy from someone who posts 25 times in a day or two. Good luck with that.

Ebay called. Seems a buch of *holes are just logging in to ask speaker questions.

Did Craig's list suddenly go belly up?
Not smart enough to use EBAY?
    Come to Club Polk.

Seriously. If you show up and post 25 quick posts to get into the flea market,
the only way anyone is going to buy from you is if you underprice
your gear. Sad but true. We don't know you. The flea market works only
because members can count on other members that are established here
to come through on the sale. A local guy might bite if it's cheap enough.
How is that better than Craig's list? And club Polk gets full of 1 time wonders
usernames hanging around. It's not that we don't like new members.
We'd just like them to hang around for the experience. Not treat the
site like a pay day hooker.

Geez that ruins my plan I have 5 PCs at home with different ISP addys. I was planning on opening up a whole bunch of new nics getting 25 useless posts and selling all my broken crap :(

Actually, I think CL is sending PM's to the newest members inviting them to sell their stuff. I'm a live and let live type of guy, but if he's doing that, it ain't the newbies fault. Carl is just looking to stir the pot.

Well Carl's MO is to piss people off. He gets off on it. He knows we don't appreciate people coming here just to unload stuff. Either we have some made up newbies here, or he has gone way to far by using the newbies as pawns to play his little games.

So is he sending PMs to all the people that join?

I have never seen anything like this before. Any forum I've ever been to would have him banned by now. wtf are the mods thinking.

Honestly, I don't know what they are thinking.

The mob mentality here sucks at times, but his drivel is even worse. My visits to the forums are less and less frequent, and I don't see myself investing in polk for my next system.

I'll save the haters the time and effort by saying yes, it is somewhat stupid to base what components I buy on the quality of the associated web forums, but the initial appeal for polk for me was 2 fold.

1.) Great product at a great price.

2.) Outstanding community that really helped you maximize the bang for your buck.

The value of having intelligent owners of the products you are buying "on hand" to help you through your learning process is invaluable. It also helps to feel as if you are part of a community.

Not sure if this is the community I want to be a part of anymore (I'll save someone the effort, "go ahead and leave then jflail2.")

There are other great products out there.....might be time to do some more research and find a new "audio home base".

This is pretty irritating to me. There is no "mob". There are members here who see things more than others do just by the amount of time they spend here on the forum. There is no lets gettum guys thing going on here. If there is I have been left out. So when someone comes in I can see how easy it is to come up with the mob mentality thing, but the people who actually contribute the most, and spend any sort of time here are growing real tired of CL's BS.

So, let me see if I got this straight?

cl35 is sending newbies PM's to delibrately goad them in to breaking the forum rules just to watch the ensuing disaster of a thread?

Then he will tell us all that we are big, bad, meanies destroying Polk Audio's reputation?

This seems like cl35 is trying to feed his agenda. For what purpose I don't know but it stinks to high heaven.

Justin, if this thread isn't evidence enough that cl35 needs to be dealt with, I don't know what is. He needs to be removed. The ENTIRE community has already expressed thier disdain for him. I understand he hasn't really violated rules yet but if he truely is manipulating new members into violating Club Polk rules put there to curb this exact behavior then I think he has done more than enough to warrant the ban stick. Especially since it is increasingly evident that he is looking to stir dissent and incite riot.

I saw the threads personally and there may be PMs that I don't know of but the welcome threads didn't mention sales. They were simply welcome threads, but mods removed them pronto as they have been zapping quite a few pointless rants lately. He simply caught the name of the newest member as they popped up on the CP home page and started a thread for them.

No need to feed the troll.

Damn fellas--take it down a notch. The gal was obviously mis-led from the start. How many of you read forum rules before posting on a forum? This is getting rediculous, seriously. Some of these comments are BAN material--which tells me you haven't read the rules yourself.

Somebody couldn't have simply responded: "You need 25 posts of substance before you can sell here."

Wise up, you are being played into a situation that is going to end up getting you banned. I don't want to see that happen.

Jstas brings a very valid point............one that makes perfect sense

CL has been on a tear about a percieved mistreatment on the boards at the same time there seems to be an influx of new members almost willfully stepping out of bounds rules wise on the forum about selling stuff?

add in Marypoppins17 possibly bringing smething to light here.

although, I have said that CL's only purpose here as of late is to cause strife and drama for quite some time, I;'m hoping the mods here take this seriously, as setting up new members for this kind of conflict is wholly unacceptable, and far more maliscious than any "mistreatment" the board in general can provide from a lack of tolerance standpoint.
