    Bye sploosh
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I'm not all that far from Ike and haven't seen a drop of rain :( It's pretty windy though.

In Dallas the wind is picking up, did a bit of gardening this morning and the sky looks ominous out there. The storm is heading east of the metro-mess but I'm sure we will get a good soaking. Looks like Houston is without electricity. Estimates are that up to 2 Million will be without electricity for days. I lived in Houston till '89 and Alicia hit us pretty bad, lost two big trees and our tool shed, I ran to the back window to see the shed breaking at the seams and my Dad grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and yanked me away from the window! Good luck to my fellow Texans, hang in there and stay safe.

Some parts of Houston are expected to be out of power for up to 2 weeks;)

Fine here in College Station, which is about an hour west of houston. Windy and rainy, but nothing bad. My brother lives on the east side of the storm. He evacuated to Dallas, but he called his house and his answering machine isn't picking up, so he's out of power.
