Stereophile review of Rtia1

Looks like they were duly impressed. They did note the cabinet resonance that others have mentioned.

With reviews, in general, you gotta learn to read between the lines.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Robert Reina tends to "love" everything he reviews--BUT, in Polk's defense, they always review respectably with Stereophile staff.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

No that I'm complaining... obviously I love the RTi speakers based on the setup in my signature but still, I can probably find things I don't like about them that are not described in the "professional" review.KEF Q150 | Rythmik F12 | Yamaha Aventage RX-A780

With speakers there's alot of personal preference/subjectivity involved--it's the nature of the beast. Everyone has their personal likes/dislikes when it comes to their perception of what music should sound like...and then you have associated equipment...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

If he'd said that the A1s were crisp and clean, a nice wide midrange, a hint of resonance, good for it's size bass with a pinch of nasality in the upper mid and treble...then he'd be done
It's a glowing review so filled with analogies he must use an audiophile thesaurus. An entertaining read.

Both what I would call favorably glowing
But, I will say that in the case of the RTI4 (which I own) - not too exagerated - and close to the mark - they ARE a good speaker!!
