Well, after 3 years of saying I was going to get one and never did, I finally have a xbox 360. The thing is, I didn't even buy one, it was given to me as a "gift" from someone. It was from my uncle, who has been trying to get me into buying one for years (so he can play me in COD)and I wouldn't go for it. Then he got a good deal on a "used" one (its pretty much brand new) and told me its my early christmas gift. Thanks unc!
Anyways, the thruth is I wasn't interested in buying a 360 after playing halo 3. It felt like halo 2-1/2 to me and I just didn't want to pay another 350 bucks to play something I already have. So I have been out of the game (of video games:p) for a while and not sure what new ones I should get. Thats where you guys come in. COD 4 is a given(and I know you guys play online and I would love to join) but what others out there are "must haves"?
thanks fellas.

OKay there are a few games I would recommend. Orange Box is one like tcrossma said.
In order of how to spend your dollars!:!:
1) Bioshock....get it. Best damn game there is.
2) F.E.A.R. You can find it used cheap. Get the first one not FEAR files.
3) Tiger Woods 09 - If you like Golf, you and your buddies will like this.
4) Viva Pinata - If you have kids you cannot go wrong here. Either game will do, the new one came out last week.
5) Rainbow Six Vegas 1 or 2. Great single player experience, not a bad online game either.
6) GTA 4- great game. If you like the GTA series. -
My must haves;
Gears of War - pretty much the best game ever, IMO obviously
Bioshock
Guitar Hero 2 (I think its much better than 3) or Rock Band
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 aka GRAW2
Orange Box
Beyond those, these are what I consider to be make a strong effort to play;
Halo 3
The FEAR games
GTA 4
Dirt, Forza 2, GRID, PGR4 are all good racing games.
skate.
Unreal Tournament 3
Too Human
Assassins Creed
Mass Effect
Battlefield Bad Company
Burnout Paradise -
Theres also a great selection of RPG's for the 360 too. I seem to be about the only one on here that plays them though......Testing

I just bought GRID last week and I LOVE it! If you are into racing... I found it used for $40.
my $0.02Thanks, Jeff... -
Well, I've just got done playing the bioshock demo from xbl(among others), freaky! I had no idea what the hell was going on but it was sure fun to play;)
I don't have an hdtv yet but the games still look good. I was also suprised how much better the 360 sounds over the original. It seems like the bass goes much deeper and I get a much better sorround experience.
The only game I have right now is COD2. Went to buy COD4 at toysrus since I have a $50 gift card, and they told me I can't get one since I didn't reserve one. I was just at gamestop 10 minutes before that and they were stalked full them. Oh well, I'll guess I'll just have to order it online.
So, are you guys still playing COD4 online?AVR: H/K AVR240

COD4 came out almost a year ago -- why on earth would they be taking reservations?Speakers: Polk LSi15

Exactly what I was thinking. I have never heard anything like that. Man I am still shaking my head.
When you go back there make sure you get the Game of the Year edition. They have have all of the new downloaded maps in it.
Seriously go back and tell them they are full of ****. You should have been walking out of the store with that game. -
I don't play cod4 much anymore. Moved on to Bad Company when I can play.My Home Theater (WIP):

I still play COD4 from time to time.

I play CoD4, but not nearly as much as Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Soul Calibur 4 lately. Still, it's not a game I'm getting rid of any time soon.Equipment list:

I asked the same thing. The lady said they recently sold out and the only one they had was reserved for someone else... whatever. I'm going to another toysrus store a little farther away to pick it up along with orange box. I didn't know what you guys were talking about until I searched for it. As soon as I saw half-life, it was sold. but appearently you get 4 other games for a package price of 30 bucks, I'll take it!AVR: H/K AVR240

Gears of War is an awesome game, but the 2nd release will be coming out at the beginning of November. I would just wait for that one unless you can find the first one for super cheap. My Home Theater (WIP):

i got myself a 360 about 1month ago. we have one in the living room, i used to just use that but i decided to get myself one. we now have three in the house, surprisingly it isn’t usually too laggy.
i don’t know what the big fuss is about cod4, most of my mates play on it all the time, i don’t like it one little bit. Well ok the campaign is good
i recommend halo3,
Battlefield bad company (rules at the minute anyway)
and driving i like forza2 or pgr3.
i dont like gears of war neither. Never have.
Tom Clancy’s rainbow and whatever las Vegas games are good.ELECTRONICS
