video interconnects (RCA video vs. RCA audio)

I understand the difference between S-video, composite & component video interconnects.

My question is this: When using RCA interconnects for video, is there any difference when using a cable designated for video and one of equal quality that is designed for audio. Is this just marketing/packaging, or is there an honest difference between the two?

...it depends on who you ask. If building the main HT system, I would certainly get a video-designated cable. Video works in a lot different frequencies than audio does. (duh) Thus, a cable desgned to carry higher frequencies and to shield interference fromthose frequencies.

Right on there Wes, a video cable will offer a little more 'distance', and shielding between the two contained signals in the cable.

Some say if you are worried about getting best AUDIO interconnect, use a 'video' designated cable.....

Isn't the impedance different between an RCA audio and video cable? I know for a coax digital cable they say to only use a 75ohm cable. Since a video cable happens to be this, you can use one of those instead (since they're much cheaper). What's the impedance of an RCA audio cable?

"What's the impedance of an RCA audio cable?"

Analog audio cables are 50 ohm and should not be used for video or digital (S/PDIF) audio.
