Up for sale is a nearly new, never installed Seagate 500 gig internal hard drive. PATA/100 to be exact. with 16MB cache. I never got around to installing it in my computer a few month's ago, so i don't need it anymore.
Includes everything that was in the box... cable, software, etc.
Price: $70 shipped to you. I have the original sale receipt for it if anyone needs it. It's from Fry's.

It appears to be a 3.5". Regardless of that, PS3 uses SATA, not PATA.

I don't think this drive is SATA, it doesn't have the SATA connection, I only see an IDE connection.

He never said it was SATA....the other guy commented on the PS3 using SATA and the pictures, coupled with the description, cover everything else one needs to know.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Bite me if I can't edit my post what do you want for me to do?
Dangerboy stated PATA I never heard this before, I looked back at the pictures and I would edit my post because I'm wrong. But all in all it's IDE connection.

FYI
SATA (Serial ATA) is the newer higher speed type of IDE drive with a smaller cable. (note there is SATA I/SATA 150 and SATA II/SATA 300)
PATA (Parallel ATA) is the older style 40 pin IDE/EIDE type drive you have displayed (and several naming variations).
Both drive types are still widely used, but SATA is gaining the upperhand. Not all computers out there are natively capable of using a SATA drive.____________________

That would be interesting, what with being on opposite corners of the country and all (not including Hawaii and Alaska):D____________________

Whatever it is, it will make for a nice starting point when I put together a new computer for my daughter... so if it's still available, I will take it, Al.
PM sent. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
