He's a psycho, and we are supposed to just ignore him?

Maybe this will just become Carl's forum and we should go elsewhere?

Like WTF, he screws up Polk speakers, brages about it, insists to anyone that will listen that he is not insane, and offers to alter their speakers, and he is above reproach? I haven't seen anything like this. Ever.

He posts the most intrustive questions, prying into our personal lives....and nothing?

I will check back in a week. Carl be gone, or I am.

    Dave,

Yes. We need to just ignore him, it's pretty simple.

This type of crap happens everywhere and it will not go away, I can post many members that have been banned and there is always someone new that comes up on the list. Will CP be a perfect place without CL35?? The internet is full of these cockroaches, you can't get rid of them...

I do agree with you on every other aspect, we just need to leave our feelings and hatred for other things in life. Just my little two pennies worth... :)

I may be a bit too "looking on the outside in," but I really think that each person should simply decide to ignore anyone that annoys them. Yes, there are some times when a comment is necessary in order to protect unsuspecting & novice newbies, but the need for those seems far and few between.

This man's power seems to lie in his ability to get a rise out of us. Once accomplished, he then just perpetuates people's angst by lobbing in the occasional inane comment.

I'm not on here nearly as much as many, however it seemeth to me that MOST of his comments & threads are harmless, unimportant drivel. My suggestion is that we ignore - repeat, ignore - those comments and threads and reserve any replies to the ones that really do require them.

Truly, if we ignore him & others like him, he loses his power.

Hello, my name is treitz3. I am now going to be like CL35. He is my hero, my nemisis, my mentor.

From now on I will post useless, worthless, unrelated and unsubstantiated posts. I don't care if the post was related to the subject or not. I will have a personal mission. I have no idea what that mission is but I want to be a pain in the ol' keyster for everybody involved.

I will make posts about a poster of a woman that's in my garage. I will make everybody on this forum seem like a bunch of hungover drunks through my posts. I will even talk as if I know what the mods are thinking. I will, however not quote them on the first word [deleting the rest] when they discredit me or relay to the forum that I don't know jack ****. I will not confront the mods whatsoever. I will, however relay to the folks of this forum that I am all knowing and that anything that needs to be known should be by my posts. I don't care if you are new or not.

I will, however take pride in the fact that I can and will post irrelevant posts that disrupt the forum. I promise to do my best to aggravate as many people as possible. You have my word. I will post crap from Craigslist that has nothing whatsoever to do with Club Polk and its interests. In fact, I will push it one step further and go ahead and bump my own stupid **** threads that nobody is interested in just to make myself feel important. It doesn't matter in the slightest that I would be talking to myself. At this point, I'd be fine with it. Actually, I'd thrive on it. It's what I love more than life itself.

I feel that this is in the best interest of the Polk forum and the company at large. Come to think about it, I will speak for the forum itself, concentrate my efforts on newbies that I might have the slightest chance of winning a friend. I don't care whether or not it's good for Polk or not. I'm gonna do it anyways. Why? because I can without fear of any repercussion.

Come to think about it, I might as well put up on my signature total and complete **** offering free caps to those that want them. I think I will defend the fact that the caps make a $10,000 difference with just a minimal investment. Yeah, that's it. Offer BS while creating the illusion that I actually know what the F I am talking about. Damn, I'm good.

I will present myself as some sort of child molester and freak for the good of the forum while at the same time I will "represent" the forum with all of my knowledge including my incredible Romex wire, my cheap IC's and my vast knowledge of my limited audio journey.

I will PM new members and support those who blatantly break the rules of those that join this forum. I will try to point out that there is a mob amongst us that consistently tries to put me down, degrade me and in my own, demented world try to get me banned for being such a great contributor to this fine forum.

No, on second thought I am better than this.

I really don't understand the hold up in banning him. He truly adds nothing of value, and only disturbs the peace.

So.... Honest question.... Why isn't he gone?

CL is playing you all, and he is winning.

He is getting orgasms seeing how he has the power to annoy you.

Just don't reply to his threads. You are becoming more annoying than him.

Edit: He is doing nothing wrong (not breaking any rule), so my guess is he won't be banned. So it's the rest of us who must choose to make him leave, by NOT REPLYING TO HIS THREADS!!!!

for the life of me I cant remember it. if I had to wager a guess, he wasnt that bad then and his banning was viewed as harsh at the time. He's never did anything that heinous truth be told. the issue here is that he posts here with the soleintent of antagonizing. people here say to just ignore him, and I hear where there coming from, but my point is, why keep someone that everyone has to ignore?

on the poll that dissapeared into the ether, it was about 63% wanting ban, plus 10% that didnt like but didnt want him banned. thats over 70% of people that disliked him enough to let it be known in an internet poll.

eeesh. you have to put in effort for those results, and Candy has been putting in the effort. thats the point I was making.

If I just came on here with the sole purpose of pissing people off, I would understand that I will be banned. heck, it would be a major component of why I felt like pissing people off and it would be a choice as to how to go out.

There was an article in a recent Reader's Digest about CL's relationship with the Club Polk forum.

A brief summary of their summation: A group of otherwise intelligent and respectable people getting taken for a ride by THE prototypical used car salesman.

Jesus H tap dancin' Christ! Don't we have anything else to talk about?

    Seriously!

We just started a new NFL football season and it's already shaping up to be just as exciting and up-in-the-air as last year.

The Feds just seized Fannie and Freddie in a bailout.

The MLB is coming down to the wire and several divisional titles are neck and neck, especially the Phillies and Mets.

Hurricane Ike is plowing through Cuba and on it's way as we speak.

The crazy Canucklehead PM just dissolved the Canadian Parliment.

Oil prices are up but gas prices are down, what gives?

With the bail out of Fannie and Freddie, interest rates are likely to drop after stagnating at an oppressive 6.39%. With oil dropping too, you can very likely kiss this "recession" goodbye.

Britney stole the show at the MTV VMAs last night.

Geez, anything people! Talk about anything other than this half-wit **** chute! This is really getting quite stucking fupid!

Agreed, the only thing I'd add is that people must be entertained by his threads on some level, or entertained by all the back and forth - otherwise nobody would be posting...

Y'all give him too much credit.......he's as useless as a gnat and a simple flick of the finger will suffice.......

He's nothing special.......he lacks substance, and he lacks the ability to want to befriend anyone here..........why waste the words on him at all?

Since he's in a post quoting mood lately, here's some of my own:
Know what happened when people stopped giving faster attention a few years back? He shriveled up and left. (unless candy is actually faster, which isn't totally a stretch now that I think about it......haha)

It's really not to difficult to just recognize that he's in it for the attention, choose not to give it to him (don't even open/respond to his threads) and let him seek out the type of attention he craves elsewhere.

Y'all get so bent out of shape about someone that is clearly screaming 'needy' and then **** when you give it to him.........of course he's out to taunt people into what EVERY single thread of his turns into.......because EVERY time he posts, he gets everyone riled up to the point of lock after lock of innocuous BS.....

BITE YOUR TONGUE (DON'T TYPE) to him ..............it's really pretty simple.......just recognize him for the person he is and let him run through life craving this type of interaction with people.......you CAN limit your involvement since Justin clearly is ok with continually locking his threads down but still letting him stay.
Even if they do quote him, that doesn't obligate people to respond to it.

Best bet for people is to just expect his posts to be useless, then you won't be disappointed and feel the need to respond to them.....his posts can be useless all on their own without anyone feeling the need to point them out as useless.......

If putting him on ignore is your way of bypassing his stuff, great..............if people quote him and you still happen to see his ramblings, who cares.........move on, don't respond..........there is absolutely zero need to interact with him..........especially if all you want to do is lay into him about what a useless member of the forum he is.........he knows this.........it's why he posts what he does and then gets all giddy when people give him the type of attention that most everyone does.........

I'd say after y'all goin at it with him for as long as you have it will take some time to get into the habit of completely ignoring him..........but it can be done..........
Let someone from Polk step in and correct him if he's wrong. I understand the intent on trying to help someone that's getting incorrect information........but send them a PM or something giving them the correct information so you aren't responding to him in a thread that WILL get locked.

Know who gets harmed by him having it hard for some old tweeters? Definitely not me.......i could care less about him personally, therefore won't be bothered to contribute to his threads........

    It really is pretty simple..........
he WILL stay as long as he gets some sort of attention........he clearly prefers negative attention, but really any will do.............so...........give him none.

if an of you want him to stick around, keep doin what you're doin...........
    comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

Stop feeding the troll he will starve and die. I don't respond to him anymore. Its hard sometimes, but that is what ignore is for. If he can't upset anyone anymore he will move on and troll somewhere else. He has had around 500 visitors to his profile and not one friend. He doesn't want friends. He wants attention.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
