I have had these for many years and they still look and sound super!
Got em at a Flea Market for $30 for the set like 10yrs ago.
(Using em as sats for my RT15i's)
Dammed if I can find out what they are!!!
They paper labels fell off at some point and all I remember them saying is that they were Monitors.
I was thinking they were 5Jr's but the port hole is in the bottom on 5Jr's.
Looked all over Polk's site and Google NADA!
They are a "tad" smaller than my RT15i's
(If ya need exact measurements I can break out the measuring stick)
HELP!!! It's driving me ****!!

They look like VS-15's. VS stands for video shielded.
The port is in the wrong place however. So they maybe newer "vintage" Polks
The port for Monitor 4's or other Monitor 4 iterations is in a different spot as well.
Based on the cabinet construction and the terminals on the rear (spring clip) they are fairly inexpensive models below what ever the Monitor line was at the time.
Polk rarely used the el-cheapo "spring clip" connectors.

P.s. I'm pretty sure they are NOT part of the Monitor line just based on the cheaper construction adn parts."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Are those Mini-Monitors?
Combo rig:
Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
PB13Ultra RO
BW Silvers
Oppo BDP-83SE -
Nope, they're not. The mini-monitor was in a small, thin, rectangular box (the earlies ones were trapezoidal), with Peerless tweeters, a 4" "midbass" driver and 4" PR. Very cool little speakers, designed for the "Chevy Van" era...

Maybe they are S4's -

Dave
They are not S4's. Damn I have seen these before. Are they from a HT in the box. The polk logo on the grill looks like the RT era. This is a good one.
Jim -
The are Mini Monitors. That was the name, period, done. No, they weren't the early renditions, but they did sport the Mini Monitor name. That's the first set of speakers I sold to Troy years ago, so yeah, I've had a pair.

WOW, Russman you are out of this world. What you do, live on this forum? Have not been here in a year and remember you since 2001.
Keep it up hardcore! -
Good to see you are still alive. I used to live here, just pop in from time to time these days.
Cheers,

WOW Thanx Russ!
Amazing how little info there is on them.
Can't find a thing ANYWHERE on the Mini Monitor.
Tho they aren't very mini.....6 1/2 in W x 10 1.2 in T x 6 1/2 in D
From what I remember of the Monitor Series tho this woulda been a Mini.
None of em were very small.....they made good sats for my Mon 10's at the time.
I still use em as sats to my RT15i's....what they hay they still sound great!!
Definately a Polk mystery speaker eh?
(I think Noah brought em on the Ark? LOL)

Yo Russ.
Why did you "move out"...? -
Not out, on.
I'm not gelling with the vibe I get from the forum these days, no big deal. I'm thinking about getting a fish tank and moving the headphone rig next to it.
Cheers,

That is brilliant.
I think you just inspired me to start a new project.

word on the street is that the universe's days are numbered.
Sanity (or at least, consistency) is greatly overrated.
