Very nice. I see you have the door open on your amp. That Parasound definitely wants to breath.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Ben - both doors open. a real neccessity, But the amp was was blowing warm air at me thru my cpu's monitor - so I opened it for the rendering...
Actually - I'm pretty impressed at how cool the parasound runs (I've heard the Halo series runs considerably warmer)LR Setup:

consider building extra space into the shelf opening(s) to place vibration pads, or some isolating material. Don't want your speakers vibrating the cabinetry.[

I can't remember off the top of my head, but you can sandwich tile, cork, tile, cork, tile to make a real cheap effective ISO pad. The tile I am talking about is the cheap peel and stick floor tiles. The cork you can get at a craft store.

VONNIE: Are you talking here about where the shelves sit on shelf pins?
If not: where are you talking about?
If so: The best solution I've seen comes with BDI cabs. their pins are wrapped in some heavy duty rubber. further they're threaded inserts, which in itself avoids vibration. Lastly, the underside of shelves are routed with indents to prevent foward/backward sliding and hold shelf in place even firmer.(I'll be doing this)
(After spending weeks trying to find similar on the web, I gave up and called BDI, turns out these are proprietary items - made specifically for BDI, alas they would not sell me any in a decent quantity.) Personally I think they could make a fortune selling these.
BEN: I like the cork idea, as that could easily be glued. - had been looking into anti-vibration rubber (used to use in workshop - but scraps I've got left over way too thick)
My biggest concern's are ventilation, and cord routing.
The trickiest part of the cord routing is finding a way to keep RFcables, electrics away from everything else, yet still permit flexible routing.
As for ventilation: I'm actually considering holes thru the top (at the rear)
I've adapted some of BDI's techniques here, but not sure they're as ideal as I'd like.
I'll post another pic shortly which makes the contruction clearer and see if I can evoke any ideas.
Thanks all for your input and ideas, please keep'm coming.LR Setup:

Lazereth: for an open design unit - that's one very stable looking rack. Not something I can use tho (i need mobility). Still one of the nicest I've seen in that style.
Also like your ikea temp solution. I wish there were an ikea near me - great bang for the buck - and their the only furniture place I've seen with truly honest material descriptions. alas, their shipping rates seriously diminshes value.LR Setup:
