Doreen Dostie, age 47 passed away last night, a fellow workmate who has been battling cancer for the last 2 years. She was a project manager who had quite a bit of equipment pass through my warehouse. Competent, confident, and thorough, Doreen was one of the few that correctly and efficiently executed projects--and was a joy to work with (a rare quality around here). She was what I call a "guys gal" as she preferred to be around men, and understood them well and appreciated their candor. The guys liked having her around because she was a spit-fire and got things done.

If you can, say a little prayer for Doreen, heck of a gal that will be missed. God bless you dear--the suffering is over. See you on the other side.

Sad news, indeed. A few of my co-workers I consider akin to family. A prayer has been sent.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Ironically, I just received an email from mlb.com for an fundraising event tonight called "Stand Up To Cancer". Airs tonight @ 8pm on three major networks. Folks, if you can, donate some money tonight. Cancer affects us all, whether directly or indirectly

Thanks guys & gals, though Doreen and I weren't real close or anything, I did work with her on many projects and respected her work ethic. She was a real character, and I'm sure her funeral will be attended by many. Her cancer was very aggressive, so she actually made it far longer than many expected; I'm just thankful that her suffering is over.

Correction to my first post, Doreen was 45.

    Prayers sent.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Thanks all. Doreen's daughter is an Opera singer-in-training, and did a beautiful song for her mother at the funeral--it was truly phenominal. The girl has incredible talent.

    Thanks again for the support.
