I know some are already posting them at the "Any picture" thread but I thought I'd start a thread for scenery/travel pictures only. Fire away, but if possible keep it to a handful of selected pictures with (possibly) a link to a web host where you could see the rest, this way we can keep this thread easier to read.

Mrs. H and I took a second honeymoon trip, winetasting and birding, in the NY Finger Lakes region in late April. Terrific trip; highly recommended if you've not been there.
Lake Skaneateles & the town of Skaneateles
Ithaca Falls
The Tower Suite at the Belhurst Castle (Hotel), Geneva, NY :-)
Summer 2006, Isles of Scilly, UK. Did you know that just off the SW coast of England that there is an archipelago of semi-tropical islands, a la Bermuda? There be.
(Just a year later we'd be visiting the UK again to attend our daughter's graduation with a Master's degree from Oxford University)
EDIT:
Finally... there's no place like home (Auntie Em!)... our backyard, this past Monday (Labor Day); as perfect a day as New England is capable of having.

Nice pictures guys, just a heads up protect them... I lost 5 years of picture about 12gb worth as a hard drive crashed a few months ago. Bad lesson to learn the hard way, just a FYI it can happen with no warning.

I've got a few good pictures from my vacation to Thailand in March. I would have more, but a drunken fall in the ocean on my second night took care of that...I'll post them in the morning."I got into the music business thinking it was really radical, that it wasn't really a business at all, that it was a lot of people being artistic and creative. Not true, and it made me very depressed."

Good call. I have a RAID on my PC, hardcopy backups of my music and photos, as well as some online storage (picasa for the photos). Would really suck to lose it.If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

No Ben, it happened and I was upset at the time... Reformatted drive, reinstalled Win XP, and plan on a vacation / cruise to take more pictures. Truly some of my best pictures gone, I usually copy to another hard drive in my computer for important files. But it was too small to copy my pictures over, and so being so large never did anything about them. I since pulled the small 6gig backup drive for a 80gig one for this propose, I usual have a warning so I can move files over, but this one nothing. I don't know if it matters but it was NTFS file system and I happy with that method but I can say wasn't on it's untimely death.

Our 'second home', in Mexico. Traveling is great, but vacationing and having your needs met all day long isn't bad either! I saw the picture of Thailand and it looks amazing,. . . .the lil woman is half Thai, so we will be going fairly soon. Wow, I look baldish with doosh scruff!

On the way to inspect a, ahem, facility, I passed by Red Rock Canyon....about 2 hours outside of Bakersfield, California
It was really in the middle of nowhere and this pic from a gas station off of the freeway (to refuel a V10 powered Ford pickup) will give some idea....
Other photos in this series are of proprietary nature and can not be seen by the public. At least that's what I was told. -

It could still be recovered, although the more data you've written to it, the less recovery possible. Just sayin'.
It sounds like you're resigned to it and moving on...
