I just bought a used PS3 to get me into the blu ray world. What are some must haves. Which movies do justice to the blu ray name. (sound and picture quality)
Are there any concert blu rays that knock your socks off?

Look for the one that has the Dolby TrueHD sound track, the older one only has a PCM track.Casey

There is not supposed to be....when Dolby TrueHD is uncompressed (un-"zipped") it is equivalent to PCM.
And that's all I'm saying...

Because the words "Dolby TrueHD" sounds cooler than "LPCM" but not as cool as "DTS-HDMA."THE SYSTEM

This is like Star Trek now. It probably has something to do with pulse coil modulator when the plasma relay overheats exciting the neurons causing a phase shift in the matter stream. My Main Gear
