Wow. What time do they get in? It does seem too early for her age.

They do this because the school systems share buses and there are so many students, they have to stagger elementary, intermediate, and high school.

Elementary is always the earliest because for the most part, those children cannot get themselves on the bus or walk to school by themselves. They go in early so that the parents can get off to work at a decent time. Intermediate is the latest because those kids can get ready and get on a bus by themselves. High School is in between, which seems odd, but they like to get out somewhat early so that kids can get to part time jobs and/or sports practice afterward without it being too late.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

My daughter is in the 6th grade this year and she is getting up at 6 a.m. and catching the bus at 6:50. I don't remember getting on the bus that early when I was in high school. She does however have like a 45 minute ride to school though.

I agree it's very early for someone that young. Or at least, for the parents :)

However, maybe they can use that time to learn the difference between "to" and "too" (see thread title). (kidding!)
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

My parents used to get me up at 6:00 for grade school. While in highschool, I would get up even earlier to review for exams or big tests. I think it will get her on the right track for later in life when her job requires morning hours.

Also, I don't think it's very early for someone that young. My parents made sure I was in bed at 8:30 after the Simpsons. It's not time, it's the length of sleep.

What is this sleep thing you speak of?

Sorry guys. I am just frustrated. Ash is acting up nearly every day at school. JJ's therapist is from up north, and commented it is too strict down here. Ash gets to bed at 9 so her mom can come over and say good night.
